We received a brochure in the mail to purchase 225 points for SSR for $23,400. They will take off $8.00 a point and add an extra 160 complimentary vacation points for a World Passport vaction.

On the last page it says we can purchase points for AKV starting at $16,640 for 160 points, which also includes the 160 DVC vacation.

My dh laughed and said, you are buying a vacation and DVC is giving you a vacation for buying a vacation. There is a $95 transaction fee if you go with this offer. He then said, why don't they just give you the DVC trip to WDW so you can go down there and sign your contract. I told him, some people might take the trip with the points, and then not buy into DVC. He didn't think people would do that.

If retailers were to use your DH's line of thinking, you could first send in for the rebate, get it and then take it to the store to buy the product. I don't think it would work very well.:sad2:

ITA! My dh makes my head spin sometimes. Buying an appliance with him takes 2 months. He can never make a decision.

I liked the stickers too. I put one on the back of my phone, since me and dd have identical phones.

I just wanted to correct a few figures.
With 225 points, you get 270 complimentary vacation points.
It's $10 off per point at SSR, $8 off per point at AKV.
Also, the $95 fee does not apply if using the points at a DVC resort or DLR resort.

Ava, our 6 yr old really liked the stickers too. The offer was useless for us.
