Promo codes for reduced State tax on-line filing?

We are using efile.com for our DD22's tax filing & the Fed is free, but MD state is $19.95. Before I send I wondered if anyone has seen a code for reducing that fee? I did a web search, but no luck! Debbie

Have you checked to see if your state website has free e-filing? Just did my DD19's state taxes yesterday. On our state's website (CO) you just fill in your basic info, add your W2 info, fill in a few lines of info from the federal form, and file. No charge at all and very easy! I would think most states would have a similar option?

I did thanks & she's done....thanks again...Just wasn't even thinking of going on the state's website...And I file my husband's business taxes on-line quarterly for MD...not sure why it never entered my mind...!Deb
