Promo Codes for Hard Rock Hotel/Loews Hotels?

We stayed here before my Army son went to Iraq ($199 per night), he is coming home on leave and his number one desire is to spemd a few nights back at the HRH. It's up to $309 per night for the deluxe room we had before! Any promotional codes out there?

Check for AAA rates and Entertainment Card discounts. Also check hotelkingdom.com - sometimes they have great rates.

Thanks, but so far I've discovered there are no entertainment card or military discounts available, the AAA discount only brought it to $278 per night, and finally being a Loews First Platinum card holder got me a $249 rate with an upgrade if available. I've seen the regular suites at the HRH and am just as happy with a deluxe room, but I wouldn't complain if they offered me the Elvis Presley suite, which goes for about $1600 per night!

Check all 3 hotels. PBH is the more expensive hotel but the discounted rooms tend to sell out first in the other 2 hotels.

BTW there is a separate board the the Universal Resorts, you might also search there.

I have just called to lower my rates for RP in a few weeks from $164 to $139. This is an Annual Pass Holder rate. You might want to look into buying an AP if you are going. They do not cost much more. Only one person needs the pass. Hard Rock is a fun hotel, RP looks very nice, you can always pool hop to the HR if you stay at one of the others.

The Loews first card should get you a club room (assuming they aren't sold out) and they have an excellent breakfast, and really good hot and cold munchies and complimentary sodas, nice desserts, etc....that should help justify some of the added expense

I wouldn't count on any upgrades with the Loews First card (especially to Club Level - I don't think that happens very often, if ever). I am Loews Gold and have yet to be upgraded. They always say there is nothing available. You may get a free upgrade to the next level room, and if that happens, great, but don't count on it.

One of the great perks of being Loews Platinum is being upgraded to a suite at the time of reservation! Yes, at the time of reservation! We stayed at PBH this past Jan as Lowes Plat and were upgraded to a suite 6 mos in advanced when we booked a standard room. You cannot book through a third party to recieve this perk. We booked directly through Loews.

I booked my room through Loews First and they said my $249 per night rate included an upgrade from a standard to a deluxe room. I'll be more than happy with a deluxe room facing the pool since they are so much larger than the standard room and have a pullout loveseat as well.

I have a HRH employee looking into lowering the rate for me, and the local newspaper may do a story on my son's return since he has spent his life from two years old to now in the Orlando area. Hopefully someone will pick up the tab!

By the way, RP and PB are simply not options - we love the Hard Rock way too much!
