Prom Themes Anyone?

So my Senior class is trying to come up with Prom themes for this years Senior Prom in May, but sadly we haven't been able to come up with anything...what a creative bunch we are right? xD The top 3 themes will be voted on & the deadline is by next week. So I'm turning to you guys now for some help. Does anyone have some cool ideas that they would like to share with me?

I think my theme this year is Hollywood or Red Carpet or something like that. I'm not sure.

I really liked a lot of skeeterbuge's ideas.

My Sophomore Year Prom was like Boat theme? (I cant' remember the phrase.. like "Sailing the night away" or something like that) and It was about pretty cruises and yeah..

My Junior year prom was "A Black Tie Affair" that was really cool.

Garrett's is "Black Tie Affair" this year.

Our dress and tux coloe scheme is gold. Their school colors are purple and gold. So he wanted to do gold. Since this is only our Junior year, I'm just gonna wear my sisters Senior prom dress. So I can save money for a spray tan or get my hair done. Or I might end up getting my own dress, who knows.

The parents are running prom this year. Because of a bunch of drama they had last year with the school running it.

Garrett wanted to do "Masquerade" (sp?). But no one else did. Now that they chose.. everyone wants to do Masquerade now. Shoulda listened..

I have always liked the Pinstripes & Pearls theme for any black tie affair. I love pearls maybe that's why haha. I think my prom was sunset serenade, but there were so little decorations I could be wrong.

our theme was hollywood....lamest theme ever, the only thing that had anything to do with hollywood was some lame-o red carpet. bleh.

my prom was the same yr casino royale came out and i always thought it would've been awesome to have a casino royale theme, the boys would've loved it cuz they would pretend they were james bonds. teehee, and to have the tables set up like card tables would be neat too!

i think hollywood & paris are both super overdone. tropical themed would be cool, there could be fake palm trees and tiki torches and leis and such.
masquerade would def be fun too! like in gossip girl! teehee

The kids thought it would be fun to have something like that.

Like a "Poker Night" or "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas!"

But you always have those parents that would freak out because it would be promoting gambling to underage kids.

Which I understand totally. But it still would've been fun.

You should choose the correct prom theme and do search for the different prom themes which are available widely.

i have been to four proms total. two of which had the same lame theme. Hawaiian. my favorite prom that i went to was themed "golden get away" it was themed as a californian boardwalk, it was beautiful and amazing, there was a ferris wheel, a giant golden gate bridge, a photo booth, Godiva chocolate station and during the last dance they dropped balloons on the dance floor and there was a fire works display INSIDE!!! my second favorite prom was themed once upon a dream there was a giant castle set up that you could take pictures with and a a carriage that you could take pictures in and a merry go round. hope that helped. good luck getting ideas!!!

I have no idea what the theme is, and honestly, I don't care. I'm going to wear what I want no matter the theme.
