We will be having our Prom next Saturday... DD's junior year... We got her hair to work yesterday... it's gonna take about 2 hours for us to sprial curl it... thinking we may go and buy some foam curlers and she can put her hair under a hat to go to her brother's soccer game.. she doesn't want to miss it because it's the first game of the season....

Thank you! I was so happy with the way they turned out. I took 111 pictures. Then we had some made at the country club where they had dinner, but DH made me leave. He was tired & hot.

I am so excited about the Disney trip! I hope you all have fun too!! It's going to be great!!

Thank you! When we went shopping for one I kind of had that color in mind because of her blue eyes. It was like being on that show Say Yes To The Dress when she put it on. I thought it was very flattering on her.

That's what the lady did for Lauren's hair. She rolled it and put her under the hair dryer for a little while. Then she took it down and ran her fingers through her hair. then she curled it a little more and pined it up somehow in the back. I thought it turned out cute. It didn't fall all night. We also sprayed some "Freeze It" (get at walmart-in gold can) hair spray that I use other DD's cheer competitions and it was set.

I am sure she will look beautiful! Post some pictures so we can see!!

I love that dress - it looks much nicer than her friends' ones (though they are pretty too! But I'm a sucker for the "princess" frock )

DNiece (16) has got her dress for her prom but she wouldn't go upstairs to get it (it was very hot yesterday - high 70s) and I doubt I'll get any pics

I will have to see if I can dig out my prom pictures...they are totally opposite, junior year I wore a teal mermaid type of dress that was very cutesy. Senior year I wore a red Jessica Rabbit style dress that my Dad really did not want to let me leave the house in.

Here is DS and his sweet girlfriend all ready to leave for prom last night. The theme was masquerade. They made their masks.

He took her to dinner at Osaka (a Japanese restaurant that's one of her favorite restaurants) and then they went to prom. I was asleep by the time DS got home so I don't know how it went, but based on his GF's facebook comments, it sounds like they had a fun time!

Gorgeous! I amnaged to get DS(17) to watch the Royal wedding by inviting his girlfriend to watch with us - her mother and aunt were going off somewhere in wedding gear - so he actually sat through most of it

It was mommy who had the break down.. her hair would NOT curl.. WE had it in curlers for 4 hours.... and spread it w/ hairspray.... and as we careful took the spiral curls out her hair just went flat... (I think it has a curse since it is naturally curly, wavy).... Next year we will spend 4 hours w/ a hair dresser to deal with this...

She wants to get a dress like Pippa wore for the Royal Wedding.. DH told me to start searching on line because he'd pay for it! (hope we can find one similar)...
