Today we finished off Becky's Prom outfit with jewellery and shoes

Her tiara

Necklace, earrings and bracelet (from Claire's)

Shoes (bargain at 14.99)

We've just got to get her ticket and organise a limo now

Hi there, I've only just read this thread, so I know the info will be too late for Mandymouse but there is a great Monsoon outlet in Bicester Village (not far from Oxford) which would be great for bargain prom dresses. The shops there are brilliant for this sort of event - picking up dresses, shoes, make-up, underwear and jewellery at bargain prices is always a must.

We weren't allowed a prom when I was at school.... We begged and pleaded but they just refused to allow it.... We said we'd have fund raisers and all kinds, pay for it completely ourselves... We were then devestated when they routinely announced the year after that the year below us would be getting a prom, with the venue being for courtesy of the school....

I'm very jealous of all your girlies who have proms- I would have loved one!

Aww! We didn't have a prom, per se (don't think they'd quite made it over here at that point!!) but we did have a leavers disco/meal in year 11 and upper 6th and also Christmas balls in sixth form, I made my dress one year and it's still one of my proudest sewing achievements

Then a month later youngest DD had a prom for leaving primary school cost a small fortune in limo's and dresses, but it was worth it

I never got a prom either, just a school disco!!
My youngest sister had her prom two years ago, she ordered an emerald green dress from e-bay it's a chinese women who makes them from scratch, she had to send off all her measurements and when it arrived it fitted like a glove she looked lovely and it didn't cost a fortune either!
I haven't got any photos though!
