Prom 2012

Well Prom is coming up for tons of people! I know at my school the subject of Prom is buzzing with people trying to find creative ways to ask other's etc. So here's a place to discuss prom dresses, plans, etc.

I'm a sophomore, and I asked a senior to take me to prom haha. I'm so excited because last year I asked six guys to take me (all already had dates) and three girls (said yes but were kidding, lame).

The venue is really cool: it's a big glass house, kind of like a greenhouse. It's supposed to rain, which really sucks, but I think being inside a glass building while raining would be so cool.

We're also going to post-prom, so that should be fun!

Going dateless since I'm about as sought-after as a white crayon in a Crayola 64-pack, but I'm trying to convince my friend to go so we can stand back, look pretty, and judge everyone. We'd be like cuter versions of Drizella & Anastasia.

And here's a crappy mirror picture of me in my dress:

and I got some pretty ribbon to possibly use as a sash. :3

Fellow senior here! And I asked a sophomore guy because the guy I really like (who is my BGF and said he'd ask me) just got a girlfriend so I needed another date. But I love the sophomore so it's gonna be awesome. I don't have a dress yet scared1 but I'm hopefully gonna fix that tomorrow!

Senior here! I'm just going with a group of friends! All girls it shall be fun! I haven't got my dress yet was going to do that tomorrow but now all the seniors have Saturday school :/ were having our prom at the Seattle aquarium which they had itthere a few years ago and it was a hit I'm really excited I think it's a legit place to have prom we have had it at quite a few other cool places in the past but nothing beats an aquarium

i'm a sophomore, so i officially won't be attending until next year. I have gotten picked the last two years to go and serve. I get to dress up, and eat at the dessert table all night, so it is a perfect situation for me.

That is adorable! Might I ask you what the Disney Alfred & Angelo price ranges for dresses are I found one I really like but it doesn't show the cost.

This dress was close to 500 after taxes. YIKESSS!!!!
There is a reason it doesnt show the prices!
After alterations on the dress I paid 599.99.

But I LOVEEEEE THE DRESSSS!

In my school, almost no one asks anyone unless they're already dating, so I'm going with friends It's just not a huge deal in my school, but I'm going haha. This my dress:

So here we have a 'leavers ball' for year 13's only (12th grade), it's similar to prom (which is a year 11 or 10th grade event for us) but without the typically frilly sequined dresses. We're all going as groups, it's not a big 'date' thing at all and I'm sort of excited because I never went to my prom. I refused to spend excessively on dresses and shoes so this is what I have:

That's an interesting dress...never saw anything quite like it! And those shoes...WOW! My dress is really long, so I'll have to get pretty substantial heels, but I'm pretty nervous for the whole walking thing haha!

Your Leavers Ball sounds a lot more to what prom is treated like at my school, only we have the frilly dresses
