Project Runway Season 9 Starts July 28th!

I did not like this weeks episode. I wasn't really impressed by anything. All of them looked like Halloween costumes. Terrible! I'm glad Olivier went home also, I was ready to reach through that screen and slap him if he kept complaining about people's sizes to their faces. Even Tim was like WTHeck?!?! Did you really just tell him he was too fat for you to make clothes for?!:lmao:

They need to knock it off with the teams. I'm so over the team drama:rolleyes1

I don't like Bert, he's a grouch and makes old lady clothes IMO.

Thrilled that I don't have to listen to Olivier's fake accent, or watch his sad expression any longer. I'm glad it was him instead of Anya or Kimberle.

Now for Josh and his bedazzler to leave.

YEA! Ding dong Oliver's gone.

You know, I don't mind people that are different but he was rude. Telling his client "that you are big" was just ignorant on his part.

I was not impressed with anyone's outfit this challenge. All I kept thinking was this would be the best challenge for Seth Aaron. Remember him?

I was hoping Oliver would get the boot just because he makes me soooo depressed. Everything is sad, and drab, and introspect and navel-gazing. Let's not even get started on the ever-changing faux accent (or his delicate sensitivity to loud music...women with ****s...men..etc).

Anya faltered this week but hopefully she'll get back up and give 'em heck. I really like her and her designs. I also like Viktor.

Augh, not pleased with tonight's winner. Fine with who was eliminated, although I don't think their's was the worst...
May be in the minority, but I reallllllllllly do not like the winner and don't like their designers/personality at all!

:thumbsup2

She cant sew-her designs are beyond simple

Ironic that the guy that gave her $$ for fabric was the one that lost:rolleyes1

And the only reason they kept Joshua was the drama factor:sad2:

Okay Joshua's outfits were HORRIBLE!!!!

I'm sad that Anthony Ryan went home :sad1:

I thought the pants were going to choke the model. The judges kept him for the drama. That outfit was absolutely hideous.

I don't like Joshua, I think he's catty and immature, his designs stink, and the only challenge he won was with a dress that several posters here owned years ago ;).

Tonight's designs were no exception, but at least in front and back he was able to match the plaids. That's impressive. Aside from that, he can't leave fast enough for me, and he can take Laura with him.

I actually liked Joshua's top--- maybe not that bright of a pink with black, but I'd totally wear that style. The pants, however....augh!
As far as the maxi-dress-- I loved the top, and I know multiple people who would wear that, pattern and all.

Cannot stand Josh--those plaid pants were blech!
Don't care for Laura or Burt, either. (Can't believe they loved Burt's hoochie mama pants)

I do like Anya and Kimberle's stuff.

And, I know it's a competition, yadda yadda yadda----but I think it stinks that Viktor couldn't spare one thing to help Anya out.

If I were him, I wouldn't have helped her out either. I think he did it in a good way though. He didn't draw attention to the fact that he wasn't going to help her out. He just didn't say anything and kept busy.

I thought they didn't like the pants? They loved the top - the Piperlime woman kept saying how well it would photograph - and his dress. But there were raised eyebrows over the (lack of) length of Burt's pants.

Well, I've discovered the secret to watching this season! They rerun the immediate past episodes at 7-8 and 8-9, before the new episode. So I was able to watch last week's show in only an hour, instead of the ridiculous hour and a half! They cut most of the nonsense!

I didn't watch yesterday's so I could watch Person of Interest, and I'll see it next week for a reasonable duration!

Okay, no surprise there. That was the worst of the six presented designs. More color might have helped.

Joshua is a jerk. He couldn't manage to help her last week when she had NO fabric, but he's mad at her because she couldn't help this week when he didn't like his choice of fabric???

And now, on this new After the Runway show, he's claiming she should have helped him because last week Victor gave her eleven (whole ;)) dollars last week? Never mind that, the week before, she gave someone else fabric :rolleyes1 Why can I keep track but the designers can't?

Speaking of Joshua whining - on this same show, he's upset about Anya winning the challenge because he needs the $20,000 because 'bills aren't getting paid', they all put their lives on hold, he spent $100,000 on his great education to be able to give her less tangible help... :confused3

It wasnt Victor-it was Anthony Ryan , who was booted

This season is disappointing-anya keeps getting raves and she had to cut the dress to load the model into it-nuts:confused3

Yeah, he is an idiot. He can dish out, but he can't take it. His suffering, $ needs and education aren't more important than everyone else's.:headache: Give me a break!

I liked Bert and I liked his dress. But I thought everybody else did a great job too.

Can I just confess something? I'm actually a fashion school grad (FIT) and I think I know quite a lot about fashion, but I've never understood the whole turning-up-our-fashion-noses at pageant pretty. I mean, I get the idea that there isn't a lot of subtlety in full-on glam, but still. I always think back to the season with Jeffery and Kayne where they would say, "Well Jeffrey is ugly pretty but Kayne is only pageant pretty." Maybe I have an awful taste level but I'd rather walk out of the house pageant pretty over ugly pretty any day. And it's not that I don't appreciate advant-garde or edgy looks - I do. I've just never understood what's wrong in fashion with pretty. Especially when celebrities get mauled on the red carpet when they go ugly pretty over pageant pretty.

There! I said it! Come take my degree back, FIT. :rotfl:

No! They can't take back your degree! You sound like you design (dare I say it?) clothes women can wear in real life!
