Project Runway Season 4: Discussions & Spoilers

I thought Jillian didn't go back for the interim of the show, I didn't think she left for good. Either way, of course the designers all want their own lines but they seem to have more of an ability to get there already. Rami already has a studio and now with getting his name out there I can't see him having a problem. I just think they'll give it to Christian not just because he's the most innovative of them all, but he's young and fresh and needs it the most. I wouldn't mind the others winning, though (I'm rooting for Jillian too since she lives in BK and is from LI! :woohoo:)
While I agree with you, just remember the judges don't think like that. Remember Daniel V? He was very young, just out of design school, and in my opinion had the best, most innovative designs. He went against Chloe who was more established with her own designing business. And Chloe ended up winning.

That's true, I was rooting for Daniel that season, too. This is just my line of thinking, I know the judges probably won't go by it. But I kind of hope they do!

Try this and you should be able to see all of them - including Sweet P's.
Thank you SO much for the link! I haven't been able to see the videos to which everyone keeps posting the links, so until this morning I had no idea how the collections looked.

Soooo... after looking at all of them - I think Christian will win, despite his designs being somewhat repetitive. His is the most cohesive-looking collection, even if it IS extreme. All his designs look like they would be in the closet of one woman.

Of course, Rami's stuff is impressive in part because it's NOT all draped, plus he's the only one who really used any color. But I still want Chris to win (yeah, I know - he's been double-aufed, but I can dream, right?)!

I guess there was a new episode last night???:confused3 I missed it!!!  When will it be repeated?:yay:
I'm not sure about the rest of the week, but next wed they should show it the hour before the finale.

That's one thing I don't like about Christian...his love of the puffy sleeve! It seems like every design had some form of puff going on.

I was totally sad to see Chris go home...I am so over Rami. I hope Christian wins....although Jillian's clothes are usually pretty cool. I had a soft spot for Chris, his clothes were so much fun!

I agree and was thinking the same all season. I believe they did the same to Michael last year, when he was aufed he was told he was young and needed more experience (am I remembering correctly?).

That's why I think Jillian is going to win. I was just thinking if they do that to Christian this year then the show should put an age and experience minimum in the requirements.

Tonight's the big night! :happytv:
I'm picking Christian to win...though it will probably be Jillian.

There was an article in the Living section of today's Boston Globe - in part, it's about reality shows not being as 'amateur-friendly' as they used to be; but it's also about Rami to a degree.

Apparently, he was considered as a contestant for an earlier season - but (if I'm remembering correctly) the producers thought he should compete against a more professional group of designers?

I can't wait!!! I haven't looked at the collections, I want to see them "live" tonight. I think its cool that even though Sweet P and Chris were aufed they still got to show at fashion week, though not on tv.
I think either Christian or Jillian wins. I don't think the decision will have anything to do with age or how established they are; I think its totally based upon their collections and I think both Jillian and Christian have shown that they are stronger and more "out of the box" than Rami.

THe 2nd piece of Rami's, the blue suit- I would so wear that. Not crazy about his other stuff, but I really, really like that. Ok, the evening gown with the basketweave bodice was nice too.

Was it just me or did some of Rami's models have trouble walking/moving in the clothes. They looked akward. :confused3

That one short-sleeved short lightish blue dress of Rami's looked straight out of the '80s - like it could have been in Working Girl. But his formal dresses were lovely.

I am thinking Christian should win this. I liked Jillian's collection second best. I really like Rami, but his collection was my least favorite.

ETA - Yep. Some of Rami's models looked uncomfortable, or almost like they didn't like what they had on.

I like all 3 collections. IMO, Christian used too much black. One thing is for certain, the 3 of them are very talented. I think this is the best group of all the seasons so far. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I really love Jillian's sort of black velvety looking jacket with the squiggly gold fine line all the way down the front. Sorry that I'm no good at describing the clothes in the right language :p.

I really like her collection. She is just kind of boring and cold personality-wise.

I hated that gold lame Wonder woman outfit that Jillian made. Ugh. I am very happy with the outcome. I loved Christians collection, but agree with the pp that the black was too much.

Yes, they seemed very stiff. They also looked very young and made the clothes look old, like little girls playing with their mother's clothing.

Very happy to see Christian win!:cool1:

Me too :). It's so funny to see him stressing out, lip quivering, and breaking down into tears, and then putting back on his 21 year old attitude (mask?). He's a baby :). Now if he was 31, that would have been a completely annoying and immature attitude and I would have been so against him.
