I was wondering as I am taking three teens to disney world in June and they are avid two piece bathing suit girls grown out of the one piece and not old enoughto wantto wear a one piece . I seen this as a prohibited item. now I know I seen girls with them on in years past. Is this a case by case basis? One has a favorite suite with skulls on it. Would seem wrong to go against the skulls with pirates of the Carribean and all.

Are you talking about them wearing bathing suits to swim in, or to the parks? I believe the dress code at WDW is very clearly printed somewhere on their official website.

If you're referring to the waterparks, 2 piece suits are allowed, as long as they don't have buckles or clips that might scratch the slides. The concern about some 2 pieces is that the top could come off on the thrill rides. I've seen it happen. As long as your girls make sure their tops are secured properly, they should be o.k.

Here's the portion of the FAQ about proper clothing to wear to the theme parks:

Q. What is the best way to dress for a day at the Parks? Is there any clothing that isn't permissible?

A. The Parks are a casual, family-oriented environment. We suggest you dress comfortably, wear good walking shoes and check the local weather report before you leave for the Parks.
It is an important part of the Disney experience that the Parks are family-friendly. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense regarding your attire in the Parks. Attire that is not appropriate for the Theme Parks (and which may result in refusal of admittance) includes, but is not limited to:

Adult costumes or clothing that can be viewed as an actual character
Masks (unless you are dressing up for a particular event)
Easily visible obscene or objectionable language or graphics
Excessively torn clothing
Clothing with objectionable material
Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
Objectionable tattoos
An adult or older Guest is allowed into the Park if their hair and/or make-up has been done to resemble a Princess or character (e.g., after a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeover) provided the Guest is not also wearing a costume or clothed to look like the character

Hope this helps!

yes just to the waterparks they would be in 2 pieces. although not inappropriate 2 pieces

Two piece suits are fine for the waterparks - just no metal rivets/buckles, as stated before. And they may want to skip the rougher waterslides, in fear of losing their tops... I heard that at least once a day a woman loses her bikini top on the big waterslides!

Plenty of teens will be in bikini tops at the waterparks - and some older women who really shouldn't be wearing them as well, LOL! And then there are the older men in speedos...
