Programs..

Hi All!

We were really not going to do programs, but considering I have materials to make them and it would cost no more than ink, why not?

I'm a bit clueless, so I'm hoping you girls can help me out. What elements generally go into a program? Any samples you might be able to post?

they aren't really programs, but I will show you for an idea

Took a picture of the ship and printed the information on vellum. I used a picture from our original wedding at the top..I also used a line from our wedding song

I wasn't going to do programs either until I realized they are a great way to get your guests involved and interested in the ceremony, instead of just sitting there wondering how much longer til cake.

You can put as much or as little in them as you want (or can fit!). Because each song we played had significance, we listed the songs and the order of the processional (like, who was walking in to each song). Then there was an order of service (so people would know how much longer til cake ), the words to a hymn that was significant to me, and a thank-you to our guests for traveling so far.

Some people just list the names of the wedding party and put in the order of service, or they include poems... it's really whatever you want it to be!

Oh dear, I am so one of those people who sits there and wonders how much longer until cake! I have an attention span of about 1/2 an hour for wedding ceremonies. This did not serve me well during the 4 hours Hindu ceremonies I've attended!

Meeee too! I will remember to bring some emergency backup cake if I'm ever invited to a 4-hour Hindu ceremony.

I love those programs!! they came out so nice. how did you end up cutting out the mickey heads with a cricut? i don't have one but wondering if there is another way. I so don't have a steady hand to do that. i skimmed thorough your PJ (at work so hard to really read ) but you are very talented! love all your ideas.

Aww thank you! I will confess I actually had a friend cut them for me as I couldn't do it. I will tell you she used a circle cutter for them. She is a fellow DIS bride here who has instructions on her PJ. If you want the instructions PM me and I will send you the word doc with them.

I just saw this - Thank you! I tried so hard to do it myself and I just couldn't get it so I asked my friend who gave me the instructions and she said she would do them for me. I was sooo happy she said yes!

BTW Your programs came out beautiful!
