Can you post pics/details of what I need to include

Thanks

Here was our program for our VR:

Our program listed the names of each song we played and the artist, plus who was walking down the aisle to it (the songs were a really important part of the show!) and who they were, i.e., Officiant: Father Guido Sarducci, Best Man: Joe Blow. Then it listed a very basic order of the service below that.

On the facing page we put the lyrics to a hymn and a note of thanks, and a line telling everyone to stick around for post-ceremony photos (in case they thought only the bridal party would be taking pix).

Jodi & Toni they are beautiful!

anymore??

I have 14 days before we go and havent done anything yet!

I am a pastor in MN... ask your officiant for an order of service and you can go from there. Programs can be as simple or as elaborate as you want. You can google for wedding service program templates... there are several out there. I have a very basic template in Word if you want me to send to you.

Love all the programs.

Toni - how did you get the holes punched so far in on your program? I tried making a mock up somehthing like yours but using a regular hole punch, could only get the holes punched toward the outside. Did you use a special hole punch and what type of paper is the inside and outside. I would love the outside of our programs to be red and the inside velum so the red shows through. Also did you use regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper?

Carrie - how did you get your to print sideways and the front design is just beautiful. I was also thinking of using trifold paper but not sure how to design it.

Thanks,
Linda

here is a pic of the front of mine, i don't think i have any of the inside pages.

inside i put the songs for the ceremony, who everyone was, a thank you note to our guests for traveling to enjoy our wedding etc.

I am so excited. I made the inside of the program landscape with two columns in Word and then created a text box and printed it vertical for the side. This way the when I fold the outside card not completely in half and do the same with the inside - the wording on the side shows. I am hoping to use red cardstock for the outside and velum for the inside so the red shows through.

Now I just need to find out how to maike the holes closer to the center and not on the sides.

Linda

I punched the hole while the program was folded. It worked out much easier for me than doing it with the paper open. Also, I used 8/12 by 11 cardstock. It was actually two sided. One with light pink and one with dark pink which I liked. I used 8/12/x 11 vellum. I had to manually feed it in my printer though so it didn't wrinkle. I got all my paper in the scrapbooking section of Michaels.

Caryn, I love your programs!!!!

Of course that is the best way to punch the holes in the paper.:thumbsup2

I went to Target at lunch but their scrapbooking section is small. I will check out Michael's over the next few days.

How did you do the scroll work on the front of your program? It is very pretty. As our ceremony is in Italy, I was thinking of printing a picture of Italy (Epcot's version) on a piece of white paper and then glueing it on to the cover. As I am looking for my cover to be darkish red - I want to make sure it stands out.

that is actually a stamp that i got from Martha Stewart crafts. They are also in Michaels. She has different styles and different color ink stamps to choose from .

Glad you figured out the sideways printing, Linda!

I used a design program called QuarkXpress, but any program that lets you work with text boxes will do it. To figure out the dimensions of the trifold all I did was fold a piece of paper the way I wanted it and then measure each section. :thumbsup2
