Professional Internship: Accounting/Finance

Hey guys, my name is Shawn, Last week on December 12, I applied for the Undergraduate Finance Associate Program. I checked back everyday for the status of my application. As of Friday, the 16th, I was at the Interview stage, however I have yet to receive an email or phone call to schedule an interview. What does this mean? Will I even get an interview? I applied for two other positions and I'm no longer in consideration as per the application status. But with this one, my status remains "frozen" at the Interview Stage.

I would really love to have this internship and grow with Disney, but i'm just so nervous about the status of my applications. I called in twice and they said they will contact me for an interview if they wish to, but shouldn't I get one already since i'm in the interview stage?

Any responses would be great.

EDIT: I applied to a few other internship programs within Disney and I was considered to be no longer in consideration after a few days, and I just received the email today. However, i have still yet to receive an email or phone call about the Undergraduate Finance Program.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question but I do have a question for you. When you mentioned "interview" phase, how do you know that? Is that listed on the Dashboard? On four of my undergraduate internship applications under HR status, it says "in progress". Three of these have said within a couple days of applying (12/4 and 12/6) and the fourth showed it about a week after applying.

Ahh thank goodness someone responded. I didn't think anyone would.

Yes, on the dashboard, I believe the first step is "submission". Then the next is in progress. After that, you will either be "No Longer in Consideration" or at the "Interview Stage" where I'm at. If you get the NLIC you should get the email shortly thereafter as I did. As far as the Interview Stage, I have no idea what the next step will be after that.

Thanks! I hope someone answers your questions on here. I would think that since you are in the interview stage that you should be receiving a call soon but then maybe with the holidays, things are running behind. Good luck - keep us posted! I have 5 internships that now show "in progress", (plus one job I applied for) and all the others are still in submission or no longer in consideration. I started applying for these on December 4th and thought I'd receive an email by now since they've been "in progress" for a couple of weeks.

Patience is not one of my better virtues but I'm working on it!
