Has anyone here participated in one of the Professional Development Studies? Specifically the engineering one...I definitely plan on doing that one.

I actually just finished the Sping 09 engineering pds. It was my main reason for doing the program and loved it. What do you want to know about it?

Thats awesome! I really don't know much about besides what is on the CP site. Any pros and cons about it? What role did you have for the CP? I was told as an engineer major attractions could be good because I could potentially shadow engineers working on the attractions.

I made sure to specify in my interview that I wanted something to do with my major (mechanical) or the internship would be a waste. I ended up at tower of terror and love it, if you're looking to get a foot in the door with engineering or meet some great people that is definitely the place to be.

The pds was a lot of fun, there were days when people would just come in and talk to us and days when we would go across the street and take tours of like central shops and ride and show engineering. Central shops was really interesting seeing all the animatronics and vehicles being worked on. At ride and show we got to do a little project, but I won't give the details on that. Surprising the worst tour, imo, was imagineering. They wouldn't let us go anywhere past the lobby, we just had some guy talk to us about Illuminations for an hour. And on your last day, if you don't miss more than 2 classes, you'll get a mouseters degree in engineering.

That is sooooo coool!! I'm so happy I got to hear about it now. Just about 40 days til I get to apply! I'm mechanical engineering too, I'll be sure to try requesting something like that too. Thanks so much!
