Products you've loved and lost

Bottle Caps candy. I know they can be found in various places on the internet but I want to be able to walk into a store and easily find rolls of them at the checkouts with the likes of Spree, Sweet Tarts, Necco Wafers, etc...

I also miss both Planters Cheez Balls and Curls. I have tried all kinds of similar products and absolutely nothing is comparable.

I just remembered a few more....

Bath & Body Works Daffodil Fields & Happy Daisy :goodvibes I especially loved the foaming mousse & the body spray. I can still find them sometimes on Ebay, but they sure are pricey.

I also miss Ben & Jerry's Birthday Cake Frozen Yogurt and their very brief line of frozen smoothies....the only time I ever didn't feel guilty from downing the entire pint...;)

Hershey's sugar free strawberry syrup for a wonderful low carb strawberry milk:goodvibes. I briefly saw these bottles a few years ago & now I cannot even find them online:headache:

The Walmarts or maybe Targets around here have Bottlecaps in the movie theater sized boxes with the regular candy.

I miss Swiss Cheese crackers :(

I think they were from Nabisco & they were my traditional travel food. I always bought a box whenever I went to vacation or camping. They were so yummy, but sadly they discontinued.

I miss those too! I called the company about those. They were my favorite.

Yes, my whole family loved the balls. They were the right size and extra cheesy. :thumbsup2

I loved that stuff! Actually what I loved was called "Twisted Peppermint" and it was sold at Christmas time. I used to stock up in the after holiday sales!!! Last year is the first year I've seen them not release it.

They had Twisted Peppermint last year in body care, but I don't think they had it in the anti-bac soap for some foolish reason. I stocked up the year before and still have like 3 bottles of the foaming soap left, but I know a LOT of people were upset that they didn't carry them this past year. For any of you all who are missing things that B&BW used to carry and you're on Facebook, B&BW is on it and they have a discussion board with someone from the company who answers questions. FWIW, they do seem to care about what people are saying, so the more opinions they hear, the better, maybe. :thumbsup2

My mom always bought us a canister of Cheez Balls for our camper trips down to WDW when my brother and I were kids. It was instant nostalgia whenever I'd crack open a canister in later years--I can still smell that cheesy smell! I loved to take 3 of the balls and kind of smoosh them together a little bit so they made little orange snowmen, and then pop the whole thing in my mouth.

As for me, oh, my list could be ENDLESS. It seems that everything I fall in love with gets discontinued. Shoot, the list of Bath & Body Works fragrances alone would be pages long.

B&BW: Limelight, Happy Daisy, Freshwater Cucumber, Citrus Punch, Sunshine & Breezes, May Bouquet, Blackberry Amber, Pear Blossom, Breathe Calm, original Freesia, Tutti Dolci Lemon Meringue, Fresh Ginger Lime, Breathe Energy

Daily Defense shampoo/conditioner. Smelled AMAZING.

Not a beauty product, but damned if I don't miss Planters Cheez Curls. SO much better than Cheetos could ever dream of being.

Burt's Bees Pink Grapefruit Complexion Mist

Gap Day perfume (also Truly Devoted)

This hair perfume/refresher-type stuff...I think L'Oreal made it. It was meant to be used if your hair needed a fragrance pick me up (like due to smoke or whatever) & came in 2 different scents; I used the one in the blue bottle all the time just because I liked the scent. I still have some left, but once that's gone, it's gone forever.

A color of L'Oreal nail polish that I believe was called Venus Pink...it was out many years ago and was the absolute perfect watermelon-y pink with gold undertones. GORGEOUS. I've been looking for a duplicate for years and have never found one.

Gatorade Fierce Lime flavor. Loved that stuff.

Nabisco Bacon crackers

McCormick's Spicy Caribbean 30-minute marinade. Was WONDERFUL on shrimp, and when my brother and I did a mktg tour promoting their stuff as well as 16 other BBQ-related products, people went CRAZY for pork cutlets done in that marinade and then basted with Cattlemen's Honey BBQ sauce. It was wonderful.

Budget Gourmet beef stroganoff entrees. The recipe changed when Michelina's took them over, and they SUCK now. I used to be addicted to that stuff.

Campbell's Meatball Alphabet soup. It was my favorite soup EVER as a kid, then they discontinued it. Some years later, they brought it back for a brief period of time and I was ecstatic--my mom bought a few cases of it for me. Then, of course, they killed it again. I've written to Campbell's about it and they sent me free coupons for other soups, but dammit, that's not the same! Oh, and speaking of soup--I also loved their Three Cheese Mushroom Ravioli soup that was part of the "gourmet"-ish line that they still have out, but that particular flavor died out maybe 5 years ago or so.

Seven Seas Creamy Italian Dessing

Pine Bros Cherry Cough Drops

Sunshine brand cookie with marshallow and rainbow sprinkles

Spatini spices!!!! They were these packets of spices you could add to your own tomato paste, to make spaghetti sauce. I loved these spices since they were completely ground up - no chunks or "green things", it was a nice even powder. I am a super picky eater and using Spatini spices with a can of Hunt's tomato paste is the ONLY way I can eat spaghetti!

I had never heard of this and was curious about it. I found them online at Spice Place http://www.spiceplace.com/spatini-spaghetti-sauce-mix-bulk.php and Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Spatini-Spagh...kages/dp/B001EQ574I/ref=tag_tdp_ptcn_edpp_url

From the looks of it there is a whole bunch of people that are fans of this spice. There is even a website devoted to it and they have a facebook page. :cutie:

Häagen-Dazs Sticky Toffee Pudding Ice Cream. DS and I loved this stuff

Oh, and Healthy Choice ice cream. They had one that was a caramel-y praline-ish flavor and it was WONDERFUL. I was sad to see the whole line die out.

Fruitopia

Particularly Lemonade Love and Hope. There was later a strawberry one that came in a can that was ok, but I will always love LLandH -- the flavor and the name!

I don't understand why Coca-Cola just ruined this product and let it fade away.

The sugar free syrup sounded good to me so I googled it.. Found it here for purchase! :)

DH misses Gatorade Fierce Lime terribly. And Hi-C Ecto Cooler from childhood - must be a thing for green drinks.

I miss Pepperidge Farms Cappuchino cookies - they were coffee cookie wafers with chocolate/hazelnut filling between them. It's been over 15 years since I've seen them and I still miss them.

to add a BBW fragrance to the list - Cool Citrus Basil was my favorite.

I like that one, too! Thankfully, it's still available online from B&BW all the time (no extortionate prices from ebay sellers for it!) and usually shows up at the semi-annual sales as well. I love the shower gel in the summer--it smells so fresh and clean. :thumbsup2
