Another wonder drug was Seldane.

Where are these drugs? Won't the stores carry them or aren't they being made? It's a little disconcerting. What could disappear next?

ETA: Apparently there have been giant recalls of many Johnson and Johnson drugs over the last two years for FDA violations, including too much active ingredient in the medication and foreign substances in medicine. The government took oversight of three plants in March. Sounds like a big mess.

I'm making a special trip Sunday to look for Benadryl (kids need 2 bottles each for school-food allergies).

About 8-9 years ago Lipton had some really good side dishes one was mashed potatoes pouches. Tasted just like pierogies. I miss them.

I used to love these cookies--they were more like a candy bar, finger length, chocolate/caramel/crunch, maybe made by Keebler, I just can't remember the name, know I ate them through the 70s into the 80s...

Sigh...

Hmmm, I used to love Dunk-A-Roos! I haven't seen them in ages.

Another wonder drug was Seldane.

.

Agreed. Best allergy med, ever. I think that one, was causing heart issues?

Another great drug - for pain, Orudis. I guess it's sort of like Ibuprofen, being Ketoprofen.... but worked a 1000% better. I could knock a headache out, with one pill.

And apparently nothing was really *wrong* with it, per sey. It just wasn't as popular as IBUprofen. :guilty:

Body on Tap shampoo -- but I just saw it on VermontStore website.
Agree shampoo/conditioner -- loved the smell of it
Jon Paul perfume -- mom wore it in the late 70's/early 80's
Triaminic Vapor Patch for Cough -- for kids -- these worked wonders for my daughter but they were pulled because kids were eating them. Sorry but that's ridiculous. They had no inherent risk other than kids eating them. Found this article online "There have been eight reports of accidental ingestion, including a case of a Canadian child with seizures, said Julie Masow, a spokeswoman for the Switzerland-based drug maker Novartis. Masow said more than 50 million patches had been sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central America since they went on the market in 2000."

Chef Boy Are Dee Original flavor Spaghetti sauce

Pomac soda from the 60's. I guess I will have to fly to Europe.

A stuffed fox that my dd bought at the alaska zoo. She lost and I can't find a similair one it has been gone fo rlike 2 years and she still cries about it.
I think it resembles http://www.amazon.com/Douglas-Cuddle-Toys-1835-Roxy/dp/B000EMUEDM

I did think I found it once and I ordered it and was tiny:guilty:

Aw - have you tried calling or emailing the zoo to ask if you can buy another?

If they don't have it, maybe this might be close? If you donate $50, they send you that whole package and their stuffed animals are really good quality, I've gotten a few for gifts and such and they're really nice.

Also, if it's not enough to pass off, you could like, tell her her fox went to live with other foxes but told them how nice she was and so this fox was all alone so it came looking for her to adopt it since it heard she was a very good fox mommy. Has adoption papers and everything.

Hot water bottles with screw on tops (not the fold down kind). Anyone seen any around?

I have one but the pharmacy i found it at closed ups years ago.

Love Vermont Country Store, do they have the water bottle you want?

Moonshine! (citrus soda)

By google-ing, I found it that it was made by Faygo, and discontinued. Seems like Moon mist is now their citrus drink. I remember the only place I ever was ever able to buy it was at some gas station. I was young and I thought drinking Moonshine was scandalous! :woohoo:

Estee Lauder stopped making my perfume in the 80s. Aliage.
----OH MY GOSH. I just did a Google search and they're selling it again! I'd better go smell and see if its the same.

Mapleine imitation flavoring - we use to make homemade pancake syrup

Mentholatum - just hard to find, have to order from Amazon at ridiculous price (+shipping) because drug stores won't carry it anymore

There was a knock-off Brio block set that we bought and is no longer sold. I would have loved to add pieces to our set when the kids were young.

I'm starting to think that the laundry detergent makers are trying to ease out of making the powders, and I'll be very unhappy if that happens (I don't like liquids). Have you noticed how small the powder section is now?

You can get imitation maple flavoring in the extract section in the grocery store -I don't know if that is the same as Mapleine

I have noticed the powdered thing. I like powder and I also don't like having a big plastic bottle to put in the trash (my local recycler doesn't do colored plastics) Walmart has the largest selection of powdered detergent around here.

Last time I checked, they didn't, but I'll look again. My mother uses it for arthritis pain and she has trouble doing the fold over thing.

Mortons frozen donuts - the glazed kind and the cinnamon sugar kind

Hershey Tastetations candy

Kosciusko mustard. My MIL has to bring me several jars from NYC every time she comes down.
