The hangers I like from WalMart are, GASP, made in America! That's probably why they are always out of stock. But just so you know, they are the thick, tubular kind. They come in packages of 3 for $.99.

I'm trying to buy more products made in America.

Please post other products, well, non-obvious ones, that you know are made in America.

I love those hangers! Sounds weird, but they are great.

They ARE! The best plastic hangers I know of. Strong and sturdy - I love how they don't bend and don't have those "hooks."

Of course my WalMart hardly ever has them in stock, but rarely has any shortage of the crappy 12-pack kind that come from Pakistan or whatever country it is

I've tried for years to buy as many US made products as possible - it's not easy, though.

I wear New Balance sneakers because they've always tried to keep most of their manufacturing here in the US.

I buy American cars that are manufactured and assembled in the US - again, not easy to find. (I KNOW that most foreign cars are assembled in the US and most US cars are made in foreign countries, I know it! But I just like supporting American companies that do their best to use American workers). My new van (Mercury Monterey) is completely American-made according to the sales guy and the sticker. I do not care what other people drive, I only care about what I drive.

I'm pretty sure LL Bean stuff is US made but not sure.

Made in America, or made in America with materials exclusively made in America.

The later is almost impossible to find. Cars, electronics, clothes, forget about it.

I look for the made in USA label when buying any other than grocery purchases, and when I buy produce. Sometimes the labelling is so bad or so hidden, you have a hard time finding it.

Oh produce, that BUGS me!

I mean in the middle of summer our grocery store is selling oranges from AUSTRALIA! You just KNOW they were picked weeks ago and sprayed with chemicals to make them last.

I just think it's ridiculous when we have oranges grown in our own country.

I try to buy American too, as much as possible.

You're right, it's not easy but if we would ALL try, it COULD make a difference!

Next time your at Epcot head into the store for the United States. I picked up many things that were not made in the U.S. :( It was really frustrating.

I love SAS Shoes and they are made in San Antonio, TX. Thorlo Socks are I believe made in NC and are very good socks IMHO.

Washington State Cougar Gold Cheese. Wild Alaskan King Salmon. Hershey Chocolate....

Not anymore, I got a pair of shoes from there for my son --- "made in mexico". I mail ordered them and was quite surprised when I noticed this.

Osh Kosh children's clothing is no longer made in America either.

I try very hard to buy made in America, but it's tough to do.

Okay, if you say so. But I think that's going to require a personal inspection of the fields and plants. You know, for quality control! :boat:
