So we bought DD a spoon from UK back in Oct. and this time around we bought a bowl with chopsticks in Japan.. the spoon is made in Japan and the bowl(from Japan) is made in China, smh:crazy2:..:lmao:

We noticed the same thing in the American Pavilion on Sunday. Shirts were made in China and Egypt. The only items that were definitely Made in the USA were the Tervis tumblers... for some reason I thought only Made in the USA items would be sold.

Several years ago, I decided to buy my dd something from each country in Epcot. She was at home and would enjoy that. I would only buy something that was actually from that country, and that was less than $10. I was actually able to do that....but I had to be very diligent about checking closely to be sure of what I was getting! Drove me nuts to see mini Eiffel towers made in China!

gonna be more careful from now on, but I guess DD won't get the spoon from UK, they only have one in the store, oh well..

I bought a Lucky Japanese Owl from Japan, made in China.

This wasn't Disney, but I bought a really cute coffee mug in Bali, Indonesia. A nice souvenir. I didn't notice until I got home that it was made in Puerto Rico!

Ha, just moved back and 90% of products were made in China too. Even all the stuff you can buy at Disney Tokyo.:)

lol, Ikr?! You would think each country would have authentic items:confused3

They are generally authentic in that they are products commonly used and sold in the country represented. But countries all around the world use China to manufacture their goods.

It gets harder and harder to find things made in the USA- so if someone was going to represent the US to another country, they'd likely use Chinese products to do it. Because that is what we all use!
