We are leaving Friday and I just can't get my act together. I haven't packed. I haven't washed clothes. I haven't cleaned house. I've had a very busy summer. Both of my sisters visited us. I had guests for 2 weeks. I had a short trip to the beach and a 4 day trip to San Antonio. DS5 started kindergarten last week and now we are leaving again. I'm just really tired, even though I am excited about WDW.

We are planning on going to the shuttle launch on Sunday. I'm super excited but worried that we won't see the launch while in Florida. The weather looks suspicious the whole week. (We are going as NASA guests- so we really can't miss it). I'm worried we will spend our whole time commuting back and forth to KSC and lose WDW time and possibly not see a launch.

Please help me stop worrying so much and give me encouragement to start packing!
:worried:

And just think, in a few short days you'll be in Florida...me too by the way, we're leaving on Monday the 28th. I have spent most of the summer reading these boards and buying things for this trip. I sort of started packing, my daughters outfits are in ziplocs...all over the floor in the den. I really ought to put them in a suitcase tonight. :)

Anyway, this is exciting, so get on with it. Get your laundry washed, your house tidied up, if not truly cleaned and get those bags packed. You'll feel so good to see them sitting by the door, ready to go.

T minus 2 days and counting for you.

Don't feel so bad, we leave tomorrow and the suitcases are still in the basement in trash bags! I don't get home from work until 5:30 and when I get home I have to take DS to get his haircut! The laundry is done, grass is cut (did that last night!), house is sort of clean. I will be up late packing tonight. At least we are only going for a short 4 night trip.

Take a deep breath and tackle one thing at time. Everything will fall into place. I hate the pre-vacation stress. Good luck and have a great trip! I hope you get to see the launch up close, I am sure it will be amazing. I am hoping we will see it from Disney.

Isn't there a Kennedy Space Center website you can check to see if the launch is a go? Or an information line to call? Your local library might be able to help with this info. If you can find this info, it might save you a long time if there isn't a launch.

I have a number to call. My worry is getting there and they scrub the launch do to weather. Sometimes they don't call it until the last minute.

Lovehoney-I know exactly how you feel. We are leaving on Friday too. I still have not packed, I have laundry in the dryer, I have to clean the hamster. The house is pretty clean. I have to work the next day and a half (not that I can really concentrate at work) and we all have haircuts tomorrow night! I guess that everything will fall into place. I will probably be up late tomorrow packing my and DS's bags. DH packs his own.

My DS starts kindergarten two days after we come home.

I hope you have a great trip! :sunny:
