Process of buying through Disney if in Canada- notary?

Just trying to figure out the timeline if I buy through Disney

So I understand a certain deposit is due right away.

Then they will Fedex papers, and then I have to get them notarized....? Is there a set time period when I have to do that? When in this process is the remainder of the balance due?

We bought thorugh Disney just this past Sept. I can't remember the exact timeline, but we were told it was only a suggestion. That is was okay to be extended as long as we kept them up to date. We had some confusion getting our US bank account set up and were panicked we would miss our dealine, and our guide said to just ignore it LOL

As far as getting notorized, yes you do have to do that. Again it is on a dealine, but they can move it. Although honestly getting that done is not a huge process at all. I'm assuming your in Ontario? We're in Toronto, let me know if you need to know of a place to have it done. (they have branches all over ontario and were really great)

We bought DVC last year (from Ontario) and did not require any papers to be notarized. We paid cash for the points, and were advised that notarized papers were only required if we were using Disney financing. I know, so of the forms you are sent state a notary is required, but we were told we could ignore that section.

We didn't use a notary (why spend extra), and all went OK (deed was registered without issue).
