I posted this on the Tech Support board, but maybe someone here might know as well.

I had to borrow a copy of Microsoft Office to try & learn Powerpoint for a job.

All the other programs work fine, but when I go to run Powerpoint I get the following prompt:
Error
The operating system is not presently configured to run this application
Any suggestions on what I need to do?

I need to hussle on this. TIA :)

Are you sure you got Powerpoint with your Microsoft Office? My home PC has office, but does not have powerpoint and when I tried to open a powerpoint presentation, I got a simular message.
The other option is that your PowerPoint is a higher level then your Microsoft. For example, I have XP here and used to have 95 at home. Not all programs were compatible and power point was one of them. I could not upgrade my home PC to the same version of powerepoint as the office due to this.

No help on the error, but just wanted to mention that, at the Powerpoint site, there should be a download that you can get for your PC to allow your computer to view a powerpoint presentation.

Ok, I got it working. I had to do the add/remove Office & then reinstall through the custom install & now Powerpoint is working.
:)

Jeff I would try to find another copy of power point. It sounds like you need to find an earlier version.
