Problems with pictures

I'm just sick. The picture I loved the best from the cruise now has a white line thru it. There must have been some glue or something that transferred from the cover to the picture. Does DCL ever keep the negatives of the photos that were purchased? We just got off the ship Saturday and arrived home Sunday when I noticed it. Any help or anyone who knows how to clean a photo is greatly appreciated.

We did have a fabulous time! Met some wonderful people and have some great memories to store away for when life is dreary and hum drum again!

Tiiiigergirl...it's hard to say what to use to clean your photo by ypur post. From what I am thinking of (picturing in my head)...you purchased a photo from shutters...it came in some sort of folder?? And now the photo has some sort of streak on it...possably some sort of glue.

Are you sure it is something on the photo...and not a scratch to the photo....or a scratch that was on the negative and now part of the photo?

Well if your sure it is some sort of gunk on the photo itself...there is stuff that can be used to clean photos (gunk off photos)...one such product is called Un-Do. Here is their web site....

Or you could try taking the photo to a developer or photographer and asking them for help...they probley have lots of ideas and ways of photo cleaning. Just keep in mind when finding a reliable developer...you'll need to look somewhere else besides Wal mart or the grocery store. Another idea to check out would be a local Scrapbook shop...there you should be able to find hands on help.

Go to http://www.imageservices.com/guest-postcruise.htm . This is the company that services DCL and you can order reprints through them. They say that they keep the negatives for 6 weeks.

Thanks everyone! I felt just awful that it was THAT picture out of all of them. I will start to work on it right away.

Scrapper....It was definitely something on the folder because it was not there when I purchased it. It would have been something that I noticed right away! The great part is that since it is just the picture and they do keep the negatives, then it will not be a problem to get a nice pretty copy sent to me!

I will go to sleep a happy woman tonight!
