I just ordered 12 Q&C vouchers and when I checked my debit card statement online, I've been charged double! I just can't belive this! I'm very worried that the rest of my money is sitting there waiting for them to take more. I'm freaking out! I've never had trouble before with using my check card so I'm worried. Has anyone ever had this problem with hotwire?

I've had good luck with Connections and I just ordered Vouchers from Hotwire so I will keep an eye out for my package. DHL must be much cheaper for them to offer the free shipping but frustrating for the customer.

I remember many people in the past reporting double billing when using a debit card. Even popular saving sites warned against using debit cards and also stated to use at your own risk. I know much of this info has been removed so the only place to learn about Connections/Hotwire/dealpass is here on the dis and that warning may not have followed. One disser was double billed for a very large order (thousands) and it could have ruined their trip if they didnt get it resolved right away. It took some doing, but I believe it all worked out.
Maybe this caveat can be added to the Voucher thread.

No, I didn't know that. I do now but it is too late. I thought I was being smart by not chargeing it, trying not to charge anything for this trip. I haven't told dh yet, I'll wait until tommorow and i talk to hotwire.

Anyone have any advice on how/ what to say to them?? I'm very worried about this. It could ruin my trip and we leave in like 22 days!

I havent been double billed yet (its probably coming though) but I did buy some TRU gc and the value on them is $20 and not $25 so I will be making a call in first thing Monday am to see what the heck is going on.

Well it's fine now. I checked my bank again, and it was fixed! So maybe my email worked! I did call and speak to someone but it is now as it should be. And i got them in like 3 days! They shipped Tues. got them Fri. So guess I shouldn't have worried!

I called hotwire Monday and I emailed them as well. Today I rec'd an e-mail that it had been taken care of--that Toys R Us added the missing funds. When I called to check all cards now had a $25 balance on them. I am just waiting to hear back about the $10 they still owe me because I had used 2 of the $20 value cards (thats how I found out about the problem).
So far Im pleased with the way its been handled by Hotwire.
