Problems with Disney Visa 5X Rewards?

Has anyone had or having problems getting their 5x bonus points from their Disney Visa? For some reason my points are showing up monthly instead of 6-8 weeks after the promotion ends and the points are not correct.....far less then what they should be. I've kept all my points on a spread sheet and I'm missing about 150 points. We get gas and grocery shop at the same stores every month which I was told were places we would get bonus points for and have in past promotions. I've called Disney Visa (Chase) numerous times and can not get a straight answer out of anyone. I was told 2weeks ago the marketing dept. will call me and I still have not gotten a phone call. I called again today and they told me the marketing dept. has no phones to call anyone. I'm so annoyed! Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for your help!
 
I just got my statement today and so far mine is okay.They give you your bonus dollars for each month 6-8 weeks after each month of the promotion ends.So if you do it for all 3 months you will have bonus reward dollars show up on your statement 3 times. The first time I did the 5X rewards was last Christmas and I was so confused trying to keep track.But by the end of the promotion I did get all I had coming to me.I also called for help but they answered all my questions immediately.Sorry to hear you are having problems.
 
YOu have to remember that the regular rewards are given as usual, the 4% lags and is only on the particular items and the threshold (if any) has to be the specific items as well. If your offer is for Grocery, air, dining and gas the bonus is just on those purchases. I recall on some threads last year that if the store didn't classify itself correctly, bonus dollars were not given as well. I never had a problem and I calculated the extra 4% by the actual month not the statement month. It was a task to figure, no hard just cumbersome!!
 
Not meaning to hijack the thread...but what do you do when all your grocery stores, Shoprite, Pathmark, and Wegman's come up as OTHER for categories and not Groceries?? Do I call to complain?

I'm also having the same problem with 2 of my grocery stores. I plan on calling because i read you can call and they will change it but WHO do i call? What number??
 
I live in NJ and had the grocery 5 times last year and had no problem with Shop Rite or Pathmark. Sometimes I think it says other but if you call they list them as Grocery. Makes no sense to me but never a problem with these 2.
 
How do people know what the stores are categorized? I signed up for the 5x rewards and got my statement today. Nothing is in a category. I realize this is the first month of my qualification period, so I didn't expect to have the extra rewards on my account, but it doesn't break it down in the statement.

I called the phone number and listened to my transactions. It will say an amount and then "groceries", 'dining" etc. It won't say the store but the type of store. 1-800-300-8575.
 
Yes, I've had almost the exact same issue. Everything is wonky and impossible to figure out, but it has always worked out in the end for us (i.e., I've gotten the amount of DDRDs I thought I would). The first time, I called, they gave me ten DDRDs while I waited for them (called me back a few days later), gave my the correct number of DDRDs (early, I guess) and two more for the inconvenience.

While they are occasionally confusing, I've had nothing but stellar customer service regarding my Disney Visa.
 
My 'other' (for Wegmans) has eventually gotten correctly categorized and I did receive my 5x points.
It is a pain to try and figure out what I should be getting so I honestly don't try to. I figure any amount I get is a 'free bonus' :)

I called several times and was told it was the way the store does it. Kroger, Meijer and Walmart are all listed as other here, even the gas stations.
 
Are you only counting the amount after you reach your threshhold? If you are to get the extra after the first $500 in those categories....then you have to remember that the first $500 in groceries, gas, whatever are only 1 point. Whatever you spend after that is given the extra 4 points (only in those categories).

150 points is a LOT. You'd likely have to spend thousands of dollars to get that many more than you already have.

On the last reward thing I did, I got 8 points, 10 points and 42 points over the three statements. I use my CC for everything I buy and my threshold was $1000 with my spending overall at around $2000 each month (in all categories including the nonreward ones). I was actually really excited to get those 42 in my last statement!

You have to be offered it my Chase. I think every time we've received a deal it's been through the mail on a postcard type mailer.

I don't have a paper statement in front of me - just my online statement - where online can I see if I'm accumulting any bonus points? I have signed up for the promos in the past (one recently), and either didn't earn any points, or just don't see where they would be on the online statement.
 
Your actual online statement should look just like a regular statement. Don't just look at your activity, look at the statement. There should be a "rewards" section just under current activity that gives you a breakdown of the points you earned that period. One row for points earned, one for 5X points, and one for overall accumulated points.

Same here. I already use my card for almost all my purchases, so my threshold is usually pretty high for the extra rewards. I won't make extra purchases just to earn more points.
