I want to thank you for your website. It has always been very helpful and informative. My family and I have been passholders for the last 8 years and Walt Disney World is everything we love in life and more. I wanted to write you and see if you want to post something that I've come across recently at the Disney Parks. I have contacted Disney about this and am waiting to see if they respond, but I'm not sure I am a loud enough voice to be heard.
The last few trips we have made to WDW (Florida) I have gone into various shops to purchase clothing, particularly shirts (t-shirts, polo's, dress shirts, etc.). I am a big and tall fellow so I generally buy the largest available, usually around XXL. As I was comparing and trying on shirts I noticed something. The XXL shirts were often smaller than the XL and about the same size as the Large. I started going into different shops and laying out shirts, both men's and women's, and found the same problem. Sometimes the XL was the same size as the Large, and almost always the XXL was smaller than the XL. Most of the problems dealt with shirts made by Hanes, but still official Disney Parks merchandise. Not every shirt was like this, but there was quite a majority that were. I would bring it to the attention of Castmembers working there, but they weren't any help and couldn't direct me to anyone who might be able to bring this matter to someone who would.
This may not seem like a big issue, but some people, like myself, may just grab a larger size thinking it will fit better than the smaller size without checking the fit and they are being misled. I don't believe Disney is aware and that it's the manufacturers who are taking advantage. I'm just trying to get the word out so that maybe this problem will be fixed.
Thank you for your time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
