After reading the post about being about to complain without being flamed I am going to post about our trip in March.
When we arrived our reservation was wrong (it had downloaded wrong). We should have had a credit but they said we actually owed money. After an hour it was finally resolved. It was not really a big deal except the kids (8,5,3,19mo) were cranky as it was now 9:00pm. They did however upgrade us to a prfered room for our trouble....that was great!
The next day when we returned from the park I sat in one of the chairs at the table and had something VERY sharp stick into my leg. When I placed my hands on the arm of the chair to stand up I got pinched. I had a HUGE bruise on my leg for the week. My 19 month also got hurt his fingers on the sharp wood. After 4 hours they finally brought a new chair and offered to credit us for 1/2 that nights stay. That was also great!
So far I was very happy with how they handled things....
Two nights later my 19 month old son found a wall anchor under the bed and choked on it. Thankfully, I am an EMT and know first aid for choking. They night manager said it looked like something maintainence would use and would find out the last time they were in the room. Three days passed and I had to go to Guest Services to find out what they found out. They came to the conclusion that maintainence had not been in the room for a while and had no idea how it had gotten in our room. I thought that wa interesting because I don't think many people bring them on vacation with them to hang heavy things on the walls.
They would like to offer us a free meal of our choice for all the trouble. I thought that was pretty funny considering what might have happended if I didn't know what to first aid.
Overall I was happy with our stay and how they handle every thing. I guess I will just always check under the beds now.....I had never thought to do that.
I did send a letter to Guest Services when we returned home also.
