Alamo site has had problems for awhile, but now even if you mistype a number in a code, you cannot proceed. So, I tried to use Contact Us. The email tab returns you to the home page. Alamo must not need business :) It is so frustrating that this has been going on for so long!

agreed, it's painful

clear ur cookies, also chrome seems to work better for me

Wish I could help. I've tried for weeks. We have several options (Insiders, BJ's and Costco) all raise the rates at least 20.00, but would allow the additional driver. Each coupon I try results in "capacity reached". Once I enter a coupon, I have to clear browsing history and cookies to try another. It's just not worth it.

single (not the double:rolleyes1) upgrade coupon worked for me...now I can buy another dole whip

note: google for them, many floating around from various sources, including Alamo's website under best deals

Did you click on remove? It works every time for me. You can also call them at 800 726-9545 when I click on contact us, it brings me to a page with options. I would say there is something wrong with your browser settings.

What are the coupon errors? Capacity reached? Wrong dates?

Coupon errors and it wont let you take it out and proceed. Still acts like the coupon is still typed in. I dont travel till October, I'll keep trying.

Did you hit "remove" under the coupon box? Sometimes you have to go to the car selection screen, then hit edit which brings you back to the screen with the coupon in it and you can hit "remove". It works for me.

I've been using "remove". If this website is this complicated they seriously need to rethink it :) I could not figure out why discounts including Insider's raised the rate and why all coupons were at capacity (we are renting three different dates and cities). Thanks for all of your help. I've found a great rate with Budget, so we are good.

No remove button :(.

Most coupons say they're only valid with the corresponding contract code. Makes sense a company might sometimes offer the best rate via a discount and other times via a coupon. We've always been allowed to "mix and match" coupons and contract codes.

At some time Alamo might start enforcing terms.

Curious if the posters who've had coupon issues have tried using whatever coupon is technically valid for the contract code being quoted.

The error message should say something link coupon not valid with your contract ID but sometimes messages aren't exactly what they should be.

I agree that this new Alamo website is the pits. The old site was great and so user friendly but not this new one. No matter what I did the last time I tried it I couldn't change/remove the ID code. Finally had to restart the computer and it worked. That's not what I call user friendly.

I agree, they do need to do something about this site, it is a mess and not at all user friendly.
I am glad I could help, even if it did not work, and pleased that you found a great rate with Budget. :)

Ah, yes there is, it is in blue right underneath the boxes for the different coupons and codes. I just did a mock reservation and they were there when I went to edit the reservation. Clicked on remove and poof the coupon disappeared.

Must be an Ipad thing. I play the rate game for months. I've rented from Alamo for years and have used the website to book this past May with no problems. Now the remove is not there when I go to get rates.

I have not been able to get any coupon/contract combination to work (of the three I tried).

Same here! I got a quote back in early July using the Costco and Visa codes, but have not been able to use any codes since about a week after that time. No matter what code I put in, it says capacity reached.

I can't even get the quote I got back then to show up on the site under my profile. The confirmation number shows up but when I click on it, it just says something about the coupon capacity is reached and is not available. I've tried deleting history and cookies and even called. The Alamo rep was able to see my reservation on her screen when I gave her the confirmation number, but when she went to the site like we do, said she was getting the same thing I did that it was not available and it would not pull up. She said the reps at MCO should be able to find the same screen she did and they would probably honor it.:scared:
