Problems with 14 day UK tickets

Thanks to the OP for this valuable piece of information. But just to bump Lizzy Lemon's question: ''How do they check??'' is it something that they can 'just see on the system' when they swpiye your KTTW?? :confused3

This will be our first time onsite and don;t to have the problems others have had on our first day (which will be DH birthday!!)

Thanks in advance.

without digging some old room keys out,am sure there printed on KTTW room key.Along the lines of MYWPH7 if having DDP this will be on as well with the number of people in room so it might read on front some ware bottom left

Thank guys for bringing this to our attention - we have got 14day ultimate tickets x 4 but we are only staying at POP for the first 6 days then offsite...so this keycard thing will be ok to keep as proof for the rest of the 8 days? Don't they ever issue with hard tickets? I think i'd prefer tickets.Sorry to sound thick but have never stayed onsite b4.

Kx

We will be there in a week also doing a split stay - I think after reading these posts, I would prefer separate 14 day park tickets - as least this is visible and you know where you are - can this be done?

I couldnt have my tickets added to my room key. When i presented the voucher at check in they lady told me id need to take it to the tickets outlets at one of the parks to get my tickets.

Wasnt really an issue for me. could still us ethe room key to charge things to my account if i wanted to.

if i book through UK disney, will i get a ticket voucher or will everything automatically be added on?
i DON'T want my tickets added to my KTTW card if possible. we're AP holders so dont need the tickets, and am hoping to sell them on....

Thanks for the info.

Birthday funcard is already on the planner! :thumbsup2 just need to remember the passport - he might even let me spend some of it if I'm lucky ;)

I too have booked free dining at SSR for 17 nights in August and therefore had to buy the 14 day passes. We have 3 annual passes that are valid until 6th December this year. I was therefore hoping that I could get proper tickets to either use at a later day or pass onto other members of my family. I have sent 4 emails to Disney Customer Services and not received one repsonse. Basically I have explained that I would like seperate tickets as I am an annual pass holder. How difficult can it be. When I have spoken to the CM's on the phone they seem to have no idea whether I will get a normal ticket or if it will be on the room key. I am pretty annoyed that I have had no response. My last email was sent on Tuesday. I have paid for holiday in full already so I think I will send an actual letter along with the copies of all my emails.

i've sent them emails too with no luck, the one response i did get hinted that i would have to have them put on the key cards and they'd stay on there unactivated unless i put them through a turnstile. they did say that they're only valid until 31st december though.
i hope i can get them put on tickets but i'm not holding my breath.

wish they'd just answer their emails!

When we stayed last Jan we had the hotel room put on one key to the world card, and were given a seperate key to the world card with our ultimate tickets on - instead of saying our names they said something like UK 14 day ultimate tickets - adult - and didnt have out names hotels or anything else on them?

did you ask them specifically to do this? did you have any problems getting them to do this?

as long as you don't use the ticket its still valid so use your tickets at a later date.As for passing them on disney frown upon this but me thinks you should be ok

I asked them to be put on one card but the cm said they couldnt (this was at Pop), and I think it was because they had already set up my card - so they got put on another. I had no problems at all - used the ticket card for entry into the parks, fastpasses, getting wrist bands for EMH etc and it worked fine :thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update. We just got a phone call all the way from Florida from a lovely CM who apologised for the problems we had. She said that it was a problem between the UK reservation system and the US reservation system. She has said that she'll send us a £75 giftcard though which is very generous of them and much more than we expected but unfortunately no solution was forthcoming.

We can spend the giftcard in the UK Disney Store.....or towards another holiday. I know what we'll be doing :)

Just to add our experience to the other posters. We were at POR with Virgin in November and had the same problem. When we last went to WDW before that (2004) also with Virgin the tickets were on the room key. I was also devastated, standing on our 1st day at the turnstiles unable to enter Epcot. :sad2:
I went to Guest Relations and the CM was very helpful, as far as he was adamant that the hotel reception would be able to sort it out but to save time and stress (as he could see my very excited and impatient DDs) he suggested I paid for one day tickets for us all (on our room keys) and the hotel front desk would refund it back at the same time we 'sort' the problem out. This did cost me a temporary $226.
To finish, the front desk also made comment to the way Virgin book there 14 day tickets that they are not able to add them to room keys any longer as they weren’t purchased directly through Disney???? Ultimately I was a little disappointed that I had to have separate tickets to our room keys but in retrospect, I thought it wasn't worth getting stressed about. :)
