Problems Ordering New DDE Card

I ordered the disney dining experience card last thursday. Seemed like it went ok. I told the CM I was leaving in 3 weeks and she said she would email a confirmation to me to print and bring with me. She said I should get it by friday.

I never got the email. So I called this morning and kept getting re-routed on the phone and/or disconnected. Finally I get through to someone and she says no problem, she will email me a new one.

I just checked my email and I got the confirmation only it is dated Nov 24, 2004! And it says it is good through Dec 31, 2004! So now I have to call tomorrow (which I have to work :guilty: )

Sorry, I just needed to vent! It doesn't help that I have over 3 feet of snow out my front door.

they messed up my email as well you can always e-mail it back and they will fix it. it is irritating, hope it is worth it!! :cool1:

Thanks, I replied back to the email. Hopefully that will work :rolleyes:
 
Sorry that happened to you---I think they are just plain swamped in that office. When I called I spoke with Rosa Flores herself!

Anyway, hope that they re-send your e-mail tomorrow. We got ours by e-mail and used it last week. My dh also brought the copy of participating restaurants that came with the e-mail, which seemed to help the confused servers when we handed them the e-mail.

I am sorry to read you had problems with the DDE email; this is frustrating for you. That was my fear a few weeks ago - I ordered it on Thursday & we were leaving early Monday a.m. My email arrived on Friday. I replied back because my name was not spelled correctly. I received a reply from a CM within a few minutes. Hopefully you will receive an email reply tomorrow.
 
Sorry to hear you had problems. I called about 12:30 today and ordered mine and the e-mail was here when I got home. I kind of got stuck in a phone loop. I hit 3 and got a recording telling all about it. It said to hit 1 to get a list of restaurants. I didn't want that so I hung on, the recording started all over again. So I hit 1 and got Michele and got it taken care of. I'm sure they'll be able to correct it tomorrow.

16 days to go??? With all of the snow around here, I wish it were us! Our counters seem so far away.

I'm sure the DDE will work out and you'll have a great trip. Here's wishing you the best. :wizard:
 
Oh I wish I only had 16 days to go too! Between all this snow (more tomorrow!!) and my 2 kids having the flu... my counters can't tick by fast enough!

See, now I got a document with my wife's name misspelled, but I just went in and corrected the spelling, then printed it. It worked great when we used it last week. We were there for just 3 days, but used DDE for 4 meals. I'd guess it should finish paying for itself after one more WDW meal.
 
Thanks everyone. I received a new email today - but now my last name is spelled wrong! Pumpkinboy, how did you go in and edit it?

Isn't it a Word document? Or maybe a rich text file (.rtf). I just went in and changed my wife's first and last name to the correct spelling (and put the "é" in the right place). Good luck!
 
I didn't want to wait on hold so I left a message and they called me back (with in 3 hours) it worked out well. Had my email the next morning. Everything was right on it.

I am glad you received the email! That is the important part. You might want to send a reply to the email sent to you letting them know your name ws not spelled correctly. I don't think the wait staff who looked at my memo was concerend about spelling. Heck, I'm not the person who paid for some of the meals even though it was my DDE memo. The only reason I emailed about the name spellingwas to be sure my permanent card had it spelled correctly.

I was tickled because they abbreviated DH's name as "Chas." He NEVER goes by that (Chuck being the nickname of choice), although he does have one aunt who refers to him as such for a joke. I wonder if she's working at DDE now?

I'm not going to bother correcting it because I just think it's funny and makes me think of his aunt! But thanks for the tips on how to do so.
 
Well I was able to go in and edit my name (thanks pumpkinboy!). I am pretty sure the cards should come in the correct name/spelling because it was spelled correctly on the name of the attachment. :confused3

Oh well, just glad it finally got straightened out!
