problem with the DING

I've been using the ding for about 2 yrs and yesterday I get a comm error that I'M not connected to the internet. I am connected.
I must have uninstalled the Ding 10 times now and reinstalled it again but still get comm error.
Anyone knows what wrong. Nothing has changed on my computer. What do I need to do to get the Ding.

I'm not sure about what the problem is, but when that was happening to me, I would right click on the "wing" and click Connect now to get the "wing" cleared. For awhile, I had to do that each time I went on line. Now it seems to have resolved. Did you disable your virus protection software when you reinstalled?

thanks Anne , that's what I forgot to do ( turn off my VP) Got the Ding working now.
