I'm planning our 3rd visit to Disney as a quick 3 day thing before we go on a cruise...don't want to miss the awesome Halloween party!
I tried booking thru Travelocity for POP because they had $99 for 10/30 and $79 for 10/31 because 10/31 starts the value season. Unfortunately when they called to confirm the pricing at the resort POP told them it will be $99 both nights because whatever the price is on your check-in night is it for the whole trip! They said the only way to get the $79 for the 2nd night is to do it as a totally separate reservation for each night - sounds like a hassle.
I've never heard of a hotel doing pricing like this - normally if the rate varies during your stay you pay the varied rates...Anyone else had this problem?
I also tried AAA but their pricing was exactly the same ($99) each night so I don't see how they offer any discount over straight Disney prices...that was also disappointing, I thought there was at least a 10% off thing.
I don't want to feel like I'm getting taken advantage of here if I try to stay on Disney property - we have a really tight budget...

I am sorry about all your difficulty but is some cases the way Disney books works out. Case in point: my family of 4 is going for Christmas this year. When I originally scheduled a Dec 24th arrival date for 8 night I was charged $1017 for the trip because it is holiday season and rates are $127 a night with tax. After reading several sites I chose to arrive on Dec 19th, the last day at a value rate and stay 13 nights, with my
