Problem with Recent (March 5th) 9 lb Honey Baked Ham Promotion/discount

Did anyone else who ordered through this promotion get an email from Honey Baked Ham about them not being able to honor both the sale price and the discount code? I just got an email yesterday that said a "glitch" in the system allowed both discounts to be applied and that this was effecting my order. Anyway, I called for clarification and they will only let me have the sale price, $37.50 and not the extra 20% off to make it $30. When I placed my order, back on the 5th, my confirmation came through with the $30 price. So now days later, they don't want to honor it. It's still a good price for this ham, and I so desperately want to finally serve one of these, so I told them to go ahead with it. But I just keep thinking it's bad customer service on their part to not want to honor the price when it went through and then contact me days later to tell me this.

Any thoughts?
 
Yep, I also recieved one but wrote it off as a "if it's to good to be true than it probably isn't true". Heck they could have just cancelled all of the orders involved but chose to give us the greater of the two discounts. So even for the $37.50 for the ham, I'm keeping my order because the savings is still $37.50.

Things happen...just remember, those of us who order are serving one awesome ham to our loved ones for a fraction of the original cost. :)
 
I got the same email and sent one back telling them to cancel my order. I haven't heard back but will call them tomorrow. My order was to be received on 3/31 so they should have time to cancel it. I understand that there was a 'glitch' but I feel that they should honor the price since I have a receipt stating the $30 price.

Did you call them and tell them you want to go ahead with the order? When I called to ask if the order was canceled or what, she said it was on "hold" until I told them if I wanted to proceed.

And yes, I agree we still got a great price, and that's why I'm going ahead with the order. Can't wait to serve that ham! I've only tried it once in my life and I'm psyched.

I know, I agree they should honor it, as we all have the confirmations with the $30 price. DH said I should have canceled it also, but I know if I did then we'd NEVER in a million years get to have one! LOL.
