Today I received a PIN code email to my email address with No name in the email just an explanation of the discount and the number to call.

I call the number and am told the PIN code is not good for me.

Turns out it for my friend Q.

Q and I shared a room in January 2014 at Disney. I created a my Disney experience account with *MY*, and invited him to create his own with his own email address, which he did. This PIN came to *MY* email address but has his name attached in Disney's system (though no way to tell this from the email).

Has anyone had experience getting Disney to straighten out this mess? I don't want to miss out on a discount code if I happen to get one again because they are issuing them to HIS name.

I just had this happen yesterday. I received a PIN code for the current offer of up to 30% off our room and free park hopper. We are already booked at WL for 8/13-8/20 since last year. When I clicked on the link it wouldn't take my last name and zip, only my Mom's. So I called up and explained the situation over the phone. She could not find anywhere that my Mom's name/address was linked to my email address (she did travel with us in 2009, but all her travel docs and such came to our address since I booked everything). Even my Dad's name(who is now deceased, but still in their system) did not show a connection to my email address. She and another person were trying to figure out what was going on, but she wasn't sure she could apply the code since my Mom is not traveling with us this time. Finally she put me on hold and spoke with someone in guest services and that person gave the OK to apply the code to our trip (which saved us $500). She made notes on our account, gave me the guest services person name as well and told me to keep the email in case there were be any questions. I'm still not sure if they were able to straighten out email/address connection since they couldn't see anything in their system. I would suggest calling to see if they can straighten it out. The cast member I spoke to yesterday was wonderful and very helpful. She must have spent about 30 minutes to help me out.
