Problem with Paramount Travel

I'm so glad people understand me on the Vineland thing. For a lot of people from out of town, we generalize the whole area as "Orlando" even though we realize there is Kissimee, and all those distinctions. Its just a figure of speech really. The point is it is confusing, and you can bet I'll have a street map next time!

I realize calling the WDW area Orlando is common, but, after you have been lost or confused, you tend to break it apart and buy a map. LOL We are from out town and found that using the route numbers tended to keep us on the right path or at least helped. Route numbers, however, would not have helped you in this unfortunate situation.

TIger 126, We had our actual park hoppers in our fannypack, but our character meal vouchers and the copies of the tickets were in the bags that were stolen. Sorry for the confusion, and I know you know I wouldn't lie on the DIS! Thats sacriledge, isn't it?
And Stepharoonie-I pm'd you about Orlando, hope you don't mind!:)

I just re-read my first post to this board and I do say "the character vouchers and copies" were in the bag. I posted on both because the Wyndham has been mentioned a lot in the Orlando Hotel boards, and Paramount is mentioned a lot on this board due to the economic value of the tickets.
Thanks for pointing out any confusion, as your right-others may be confused too.

Thanks for clearing that up! That 's good to know that at least your tickets weren't stolen as well. I understand you being disappointed about the character breakfast vouchers, but at least you still had your tickets and you could get into the parks. I've read too many posts where people have lost, misplaced or had all of their tickets stolen and their whole trip was ruined.

Have a great day, Tiger

In all the conversation about the Vineland thing, I failed to ask how did you bags get stolen from this resort? What did the resort do for you?

The bags got stolen after we left them outside the room(BIG mistake, I know and take full responsibilty for forgetfulness) for about 20 minutes. We were at the WYndham Palms Resort and Golf Club and they did absolutely nothing about it, nor acted concerned. We reported it on the 3rd day of our stay, and everyday afterwards, we checked with security and the hotel to no avail.:(

did you leave them outside your room on day 1? If so, I would have reported the loss immediately.

No, we did it on day 3 and reported it on day 3. I wrote it like that to say that for 4 more days we kept going to security and for 4 more days the hotel knew our plight, yet showed no concern. I didnt even think of security cameras until I came home, but more and more I think about it, why didnt they offer to review them? Anyway, whats done is done, and as I keep saying-its a lesson learned for me and hopefully anyone who is reading these posts.

I am really sorry this happened to you. The least they could have done is call the police for you. what bummer.

I just wanted to say THAT BITES! I know how it feels to have your magical vacation not go as planned. I think that paramount could've have replaced the vouchers--if they wanted. I understand too, how they are not obligated, but hey everyone if that was you and your family you would feel the same way. You would hope someone want to keep you as a customer. By word of mouth we now know--we can purchase our tickets other places that might be more apt to help you in a not so common mishap. Anyways just wanted to say I feel "your pain"

I doubt I would feel that way once informed that they could not be replaced. I would not feel that the grocery store should replace my groceries if I left them in the cart or that the clothing strore should replace my lost clothes. I doubt the vouchers were a free be to Paramount, I would assume they pay for them.

But, you are right, the theft was the thing that bit.

I would doubt that you would find any other ticket company that would replace them. Think about if word got around that they did that. They would have all kinds of dishonest people claiming to have lost their vouchers only to get more. The honest would suffer and Paramount would lose a lot of money. It is a very unfortunate incident, but other than maybe showing more compassion, I am not sure what else to expect from them.
