Problem With New Member Website!

Just was able to register but I was floored that someone already registered for "zulaya" as their user name.

haven't checked anything else out yet, just wanted to let you know I finally got through.

Looks like we will have a looonnnggg wait for online account management tools. This is copied from the front page of the member site once I registered...

These things happen. It is going to take some time to get all the glitches out. I think we should all be patient. I certainly do not think the first day glitches turn something positive into a big negative. ;)

ITA.

By the way. Don't get too excited about what's inside. It has no more than what was described in the flyer. I poked around briefly last night, looking for new transactional tools... I couldn't find any. It will be some time (someone previously mentioned late-2005) before the transactional tools come on line.

Please re-read the flyer and level-set your expectations before you enter the site. The new design is beautiful. You'll like it. In the mean time.... so what! The folks at MS are great people to talk to. :)

I got in, but haven't really browsed around. Not sure what is so "special" or "different" yet.

I got in about 11:30 (EDT) with no problem, but was disappointed in the "new" features.

There is an intereactive point chart, and a page to request a reservation - but it is really just an email that goes to MS.

It is easier to find the discounts and other information about DVC - rules about borrowing etc.

I was hoping that we would at least be able to see point balances and existing reservations.

It is a better web site but the added functionality is just slightly above zero. Since they were unable to make that work I guess it's just as well that they didn't try much else at this time.

Having worked with online IT systems for over 30 years - boy would I be having some heads roll about now. No excuses for this. I took over an ATM system development group after they had been down for an entire weekend with a new implementation. They needed a new manager after that fiasco.

While there is not currently any new info, there is a note that new transaction options are forthcoming.

I do like the new layout. It is easier to navigate. Less crowded.

I was just able to get in too. Looks pretty nice. I'm looking forward to seeing what they will do with it.

Got in okay. It looks nice but I think it's still very much a "work in progress" in terms of actual new features. Some things are actually missing -- like detailed resort information -- but I expect they will be added shortly as they flesh out the sections.

I finally got into the new site!! The one "down" is that when it asks the name of my home resort it allows me to select only a single name. I have 2 home resorts so I am not sure what information I will be "missing" by having only 1 selected. That does need to be fixed/updated later as they work on the site. Apparently the earlier attempts went through as my userid had been "claimed" so I tried to log in as a registered user and it worked.
