Problem with left over days on Tickets

Back in May while trying to go through the turnstiles my ticket said no time left. Later in the week I went to check-in at the resort I was staying at (POR) and they printed out for me what was on the ticket. It clearly showed I still had both theme park and two pluses left (the girl went over it with me). I was checking out so could not go to DTD to take care of the problem.

My parents just called me from OKW where they are checking-in and someone at the desk said there was no time left on the cards. I told my parents to go to guest services at Downtown Disney and have them try to straighten things out. I know I have at least 3 theme park days and absolutely 3 or more pluses. I have only been to a water park once in my life and only to Pleasure Island over 10 years ago when I purchased a ticket.

If guest services at Downtown Disney cannot take care of this problem how and to whom can I bump this problem up too.

What type of park pass did you originally purchase and from where?

Are you parents trying to use your park pass that you refer to in your first paragraph?

They would not need to go to DTD to have it looked in. They could go to the guest services area at the park they are trying to enter and they could checkout what was left on the pass.

Since the tickets are not transferrable this may become tricky for them. Do you have a way to make the information you have available to your parents, via fax perhaps?

I would suggest they stop at guest relations at one of the major parks and have the CM check the ticket again. The CM can see on the computer, not only which days the pass was used but each and every park visited as well as the plus options used and again when and where. If they have your informaton that could be helpful as well.

For future reference or for anyone reading its a good idea to keep your purchase receipt and keep track of days and plus options used yourself. I keep track of the dates and parks just in case. I also recommend a photo copy of the back of the pass to aid in replacment if it gets lost.

Good luck!

One ticket was the 7 day park hopper plus and the other was a 6 day park hopper plus.

When I was at Disney in May I got a print out that stated what ticket it was and what park I used on what day. Before there trip I looked at the paper again and it does clearly show I have days left.

My parents have it with them along with the tickets. They did not show the paper to the person at OKW. My father is impatient so I asked my father to dump my father somewhere at DTD and go to guest service there.

If my parents can I would like for them to use the tickets. My father paid for half of it anyway. The tickets have my mother's name on it because the rooms were under my mother's name when we purchased these tickets in the past two years.

I did not think that Park Hopper tickets had people's names on them. Our names are on our annual passes but I did not think that the regular park hopper tickets had names on them. I guess you learn something new everyday. :D

If your Hopper pass is on your room key/card, the name of the person making the ressie is on each ticktet/card. The last time we put the pass on the key card my wife's name was on everybody's ticket becaus we used her credit card to book the room. People of both genders used them without a problem on that trip and later trips as there were plusses left over.

Very interesting. Thanks for the details Bill. Just when I think there is nothing new to learn about WDW I find out something that I did not know I did not know. :D Thanks again.
