Problem finding Sunday papers in the racks

I just got a call from the Washington Post asking permission to deliver me for free the coupon inserts!

I cancelled my Sunday paper several months back because I wasn't reading it and had little time for coupons

The hotel where my DH stays off & on for about 8 months of the year offers the Sunday Washington Post, complete w/inserts,

FYI, The Washington Post now puts their coupon inserts in Saturday's paper. At least they do if you have home delivery.

Funny, I guess they don't consider hotels "home" delivery, cuz the coupons are in Sunday's paper.

If you get the Sunday Wash Post delivered, they send the coupon and ad section, along with the Travel, Books, and Style sections on Saturday and the news section on Sunday morning. It's a big paper on Sundays, comparable to the Boston Globe and th Baltimore Sun - the other two favorites of mine, if only I had time to read them! The ones in the stores on Sunday morning have the whole thing together, which is what the hotels offer.

That explains it! My DDs are always thrilled when DH's envelope arrives because of the extra value of the Washington coupons. I would never have noticed that, but it makes sense - the cost of living is quite a bit higher up there.

I'm still able to get mine because I get up so darn early for it. But I have had to get out 1/2 earlier than I did months ago. My store now has this hoard of sleepy husbands come in and buy up the stacks. It's kind of a funny scene as they are all wearing their PJ bottoms.

I don't understand why you all just don't get a Sunday only subscription? :confused3

I get both papers delivered. One Sunday-Saturday and the other one Thurs-Sunday (only because it was the same price as Sunday only) I do read the paper everyday but also coupon. Not only does it save time, but money as well. As it is way cheaper to subscribe than to pay weekly. My St. Pete Times subscription, daily delivery, cost me $39 a year.

This way, you are guaranteed to have your coupons. I have never not gotten them in my papers.

Who wants to get up early just to get a paper?

i am having the same problem. ever since the extreme couponing show started airing the newstand i go to on my way to work has not had the couposn 75% of the time. i asked them the third week in a row it happened and they tried to tell me they never got them. i used to work at a convenience store and know how the papers get delivered and how it works. it makes me so mad because they are most likely keeping the inserts, selling them, and then getting refunded for the unsold papers. i won't buy it if it doesn't have coupons. if i am off on a sunday i pick one up while at the foodstore, if not i try my luck at the newstand. now that i moved i may look into home delivery. i would hope that i could get sunday only with the coupons as i like to also read the paper.
