But I'm still so bugged out.

Do you need a combined GPA of 2.0 to get in, and no F's in any class?
My 2 best friends who also applied both have some bad grades in one class, and I don't want to see them not be able to make it in.

So does anyone know if it matters if you have an F, or just if your GPA is higher than a 2.0?

As long as you are in good academic standing at your school (which in most schools, is a combined overall GPA of 2.0,) your friends should be fine. As long as the F doesn't put your friends on academic probation or anything, I don't think there should be any issues.

I agree, My 1st couple semesters at my community college were terrible for me. I went through this stage where I wasn't my normal self and it reflected BIG TIME in my grades. It was the worst i have ever done in school. At one point, I was taking 4 classes and my grades were 2 F's a D and a C. No joke.... it was terrible and something I truly regret.

Moral of the story, is I worked my behind off and have made deans list ever sense, not getting anything lower than a B... mostly A's, though. at one point I think my GPA was below a 1.0 and I've got it up to a 2.75, which still- isn't that good, but it's a TON better than it was, and I've worked SOOOOOO hard for it:)

Basically, I'm trying to say that a couple F's shouldn't hurt the chances of getting in the program as long as as they are at a 2.0 and in good academic overall standing with their school.

If you, or they, are/were worried about it though, I'm sure someone at Disney would be happy to talk to them about it if they called:)

Good luck:) I'm sure everything will turn out fine!!:goodvibes

Like the above said, as long as they don't put your friends in bad academic standing, they should be fine. I also started bad with a couple of those, but a couple sems. later when I applied I was up to about 2.9 and in good standing.

Disney doesn't look at individual classes. You just need to be in good standing with your school (which usually is a 2.0 GPA). Good luck to them! Hopefully they will hear from Disney soon.

Both my friends and I are going to go to Disney World together!
I'll be doing QSFB, my friend Kayla got custodial, and my best friend Chet got lifeguarding. We're probably going to do a cross country road trip a week before we have to be there (Jan 28th) together.

It's so crazy! :cheer2: :dance3: :woohoo:

I was curious about the 2.0 too
when I went to accept it said that your school would be contacted to varify that you have a 2.0 and are in good academic standing

I don't have a 2.0 but I'm in good academic standing...so I don't know if I can get in?

I will have a 2.0 at the end of the semester, but I don't know if they'll check at the end of the semester or before.
and I was hoping somebody on here would be able to help, because my academic advisor couldn't, and I can't quite e-mail my recruiter and tell her that my gpa isn't high enough yet. I don't want to accept and then get my participation cancelled and not be able to participate in the future.
