If all the guide books and all the helpful people on this site suggest you get to the parks early, then go back to your resort for the afternoon, then head back to the parks for the evening... Just wondering, if everyone did that, wouldnt the afternoon actually be the perfect time to go?
. Personally when I go to a park I'm there from morning to close unless I'm with a party pooper who wants to leave early. I was just there last week and the afternoon rush was still in full force. At around 11ish the parks just fill up (they're fairly slow in the mornings), then that lasts til a little after the sun goes down. You can tell by line lengths. I go on the rides I love when I get there several times with no to short waits, then the afternoons I sort of tinker around and do the less popular stuff or eat. Then I go back on the rides I really like at night or closer to close time (depending on what time of year it is). The hour before the park closing the rides are virtually empty so it's great. You can walk on rides like Splash Mountain over and over and over again with no wait.
