Probably a dumb question about the Sci Fi Dine In Theater, but here goes...

On another topic, a poster said something to the effect of "we went to Sci Fi, and even got to sit in a car!"

Um..does this mean there are tables that AREN'T cars? I haven't been there in years and I don't remember that being the case. Prince John will be really bummed if we don't sit in a car, so please let me know! Thanks everybody!

Dont worry! If you have an ADR you will have a car! The tables in the back are used for walk in's, staff, people who don't care about the car just want a good burger! ;)

We had ADRs and didn't get a car........but you have the choice to wait for one or not.
It was the day we were leaving so we went ahead and took a table. Not the picnic ones in the back, but ones in the middle.

If you really want a car (which, let's face it... who doesn't??) I would request it when you check-in, just in case :) "Better safe than sorry" is my motto!

Just beware depending on how many people are in your party you could have to share a car with another family. We had to do that and I didnt really care for that, it was a very tight squeeze for us to fit in one row. Also you have another family right there in front of you eating, hearing conversations, just not very private. :rotfl2:

We were a party of two and sat in the last row of a car, behind a family of 4. We didn't find it to be a problem, personally. You can fit two adults to a row, and there are 3 rows in a car. Maybe people who have kids choose to put a kid in the row with them, but that would be very small. I don't think they expect you to do this, though. But if you're a family of 4, you can expect a party of two to be seated behind you. They won't leave a row empty.

Last time we went, we had an ADR and were told it would be another 30 minute wait for a car, or immediate seating for a table. Be prepared for a possible wait if you are set on sitting in a car.

I have had reservations for two, three, four, and six (twice) and never not had a car, never had to wait more than ten minutes, never had to talk to anyone else in a car that wasn't in our party, and never had our conversation overheard or commented on by anyone else in the car with us.

We have eaten there numerous times and have always been seated in a car. The first time (honeymoon) it was just 2 of us and we were in the back seat of the car and another family of 4 in front of us. They did make a couple joking comments to us but pretty much kept to themselves. Last time we were a family of four and had the front of the car with another couple in the back. We didn't talk to them and really didn't even notice them.
