If ports start turning away ships too much I can also see them taking 7-day sailings to 4 day sailings again.
Almost exact same with us. We are on the fantasy on the 29th. Flying out day before from west coast. We are on the Fantasy 7 night sailing departing 1/22/2022. This cruise was a rescheduled one from last Jan/2021. We’ve gone back and forth but decided we’d go now if we can get on the ship. We are fully vx and so now only concern is the pre-boarding test. So stressful worrying about that. We’re flying down day before, staying off World and driving to port next day. We are resolved that planned ports/excursions may change.
Part of me wishes Disney would just cancel that departure so we could focus on doing something else. Patiently waiting for any news…

We have a few errands to run today and then fully staying home and not being around anyone. We have some backup plans in case the cruise itself gets canceled or if we test positive at port. But, very stressful for me as I’m an anxious person anyway.doing my best to control everything that I can, and remembering that most of it is not in my control.
Hoping you and yours have a great cruise!

How is posting your personal experience presenting anything as fact? I’m always curious to read what symptoms people have.Several posts have been removed from this thread as they were presenting anecdotal evidence as fact. I know a portion of this thread is speculative, but would rather keep it open so people can find support and vent if possible.

We all know COVID is running rampant. I’ve seen that some cruise lines are cancelling their sailings. Just curious, do you think Disney will as well? Or just modify ports when those ports change their requirements?
Omicron has not peaked yet and we are seeing a rise in cases everywhere around the world. So my answer is: very likely.
South Africa, where it originated, started to trend downwards... Europe is 2-3 weeks behind, North America 3-4 wks
Still, imo cruises should pause until the Summer. Otherwise more cases will keep piling up on ships & it can trigger the CDC issue a ban on sailings which could be set back the industry to March 2020.
He is not to be named at Hogwarts. He may be named on the DISI don't know. I thought he was not to be named.
