Probability of Wait List for Value Studio at AKV during Magical Season

I just booked a portion of my trip for February in a value studio at AKV. I was able to book the 1st 2 days of my trip, waitlisted the 3rd day and will call to book the 4th day on Tuesday (hopefully). Anyway, how likely is it that the wait list will open up during Magical Season for AKV Value studio? The 3rd day is a saturday during the Princess 1/2 marathon, which is why we are heading back to WDW.

Those weekend point costs of the value accomodations are such a bargain. I hope you get it. How likely? I don't know, but you stand a good chance because you are on the waitlist already and there could be plenty of people who haven't begun to think of accomodations for the event.

What I would do is call the first day that I can for that Saturday and ask for a standard studio, and if it's available book the 2 nights. Then I would waitlist for those two nights in the value. That way IF I have to move, it will only be once.

I'm in the same boat. Going down for the Princess 1/2. Last week I booked Fri and Sat in a value 2 BR. At the time Monday 2/27 was avail. I wasn't sure if I wanted the kids to miss a day of school so I didn't take it. I took a look at the airfare and decided the kids can miss a day of school. Called this morning and no value 2 BR for the 27th. I wait listed and I'm hoping for best. I really don't want to change rooms.

I couldn't upgrade last year, they were completely booked....but when I was checking in I asked again, and they were able to upgrade me. If they have it when you check in they will gladly upgrade you! The Staff at AK was great!

I think your chances are pretty good. I've had good luck with the Value studios and this shouldn't be as busy of a time. Best of luck

Thank you everyone for your replies. I was checking my DVC account today and learned that my wait list had come through. I was thrilled to see that I had a confirmed reservation for the value studio during the Princess 1/2 marathon weekend!

Congratulations We'll be neighbors! I just checked my waitlist for the value 2BR on 2/27 and it came through We will be there Friday - Monday. I 'm so excited. Now I can concentrate on my training for the hm.
