The site that I've always used to order flowers is not longer doing it(Hallmark)
I need to order flowers for my parents anniversary by Friday. Can anyone recommend a site that they know is good? Pro flowers, FTD,etc.
Thanks

I've always had great luck with Proflowers. The flowers always lasted longer than a week and were very fresh.

I guess for every good positive comment there is a negative. I ordered Xmas flowers for my mom from Pro Flowers and they were all wilted when she received them. Of course she didn't want to tell me, but when I saw them a few days later I was extremely upset. I sent off an email, and they were very nice and refunded my $$. However, it was Xmas, and it didn't go over very well, as I needed to purchase another arrangement and apologize for the less than perfect gift.

My boyfriend sent me flowers for Valentine's Day from Proflowers and I thought the roses were awesome. They smelled great and lasted for about two weeks until I forgot to add more water to the vase. They dried perfectly.

That being said the packaging is very different since the flowers are shipped through UPS. I didn't realize they were flowers at first because it was just a long box sealed completely shut and I don't think it said flowers anywhere on the box. The packaging was very unique and perserved the flowers perfectly. It was alot of work for me to unpackage the flowers, snip the ends, and pull off the outer rose petals*. But the work was well worth it because the roses were beautiful and lasted a long time.

*the roses included an instruction card that recommended pulling off the outer petals to make the roses open more fully. I have never heard of this before but it seemed to work*

I like 1-800-Flowers. I think theirs are the ones that are delivered locally instead of by carrier.

Love ProFlowers, my husband has ordered me flowers from them on several occasions. One time for V-day my DH sent me flowers and it was a very cold V-day year and the flowers must have froze a little on the truck and they didn't last but only a few days...I called them and they sent another dozen out to me!

Another bad pro flowers experience here...I recieved DEAD (not wilted, DEAD) flowers the one time we used them. The leaves and heads were falling off as I was unwrapping them. Hubby called to let them know about the issue, and we NEVER recieved a refund.....I'm not sure what the issue was with correcting the problem (he was dealing with CS, not me). But apparently he deleted his order #, and they insisted they needed it to process refund..long story short, we were out $40 plus "Valentine's Day" shipping charge. Lesson learned!!

I've sent Pro Flowers before, before you do you should know that they do not send an arrangement. They send a box of flowers and a vase if you order one. I sent tulips, they lasted for a couple weeks at least but I was not impressed with dbf having to arrange his own flowers at work. lol

I have had excellent results w/ProFlowers. I send my MIL flowers every year on my DH's birthday and generally have the opportunity to see the flowers over the next week or so - they're gorgeous and ALWAYS last a week, and sometimes up to two weeks. Yes, she has to arrange them herself, but she enjoys that so it's not a problem. :)

I also received dead flowers from Proflowers for valentine's day one year. I emailed to complain and they replied saying that they had refunded $95 or whatever - well thanks for letting me know how much my GIFT cost the sender! lol

Thanks everyone for your replies!:thumbsup2
I am still deciding, I have a call into one of their friends to get a local florist number. So I guess I'll either do that or Pro Flowers.

We won't use ProFlowers again. They did not tell DH that the flowers are sent in a box which you have to do all the work of unpacking, snipping, arranging. I was irritated I had flowers strewn all over my desk while pulling off the outer petals and snipping the ends before being able to haphazardly put them in the vase. It took me nearly a half hour. You also don't get any flower foam so the flowers just flop every which way in the vase. The roses themselves lasted quite a long time (I did use the flower food). However, when my husband buys me flowers he wants me to see this gorgeous arrangement come in the door delivered by a florist, not by UPS.

It does seem for every person who had a good experience with Proflowers there is one with a bad. I'm one of the bad. I usually just look up a local place and have flowers sent from there.

I use 1-800-flowers and they work with local florists.

i love proflowers, my dh orders flowers for me almost every month!!! so much so that one time a couple months went by and the UPS guy mentioned it at the next deliverly LOL!!!I don't mind arranging them and if you follow the directions about criss crossing the stem as you put them in the vase they stand up beautifully and last longer than flowers from a shop..

What I like about ProFlowers is that you can get 4% cash back from inboxdollars.com. If you haven't signed up with Inbox $ then you are missing some extra Disney cash :-)

I had horrible luck with Proflowers and won't use them again. I'd just go through a local florist.

I used ProFLowers twice. First time the arrangement was not at all like what I had picked out (the recipient sent me a pic and I was very upset at what i saw). Called to complain and they said they make substitutions all the time. I can deal with that, but they substituted the WHOLE arrangement. Not good. Figured I'd give them another chance and sent flowers to my MIL for her birthday. My SIL later called me and told me that the flowers looked like a bunch of dead weeds and thought I would want to know (MIL was too nice to tell me that). The folks at customer service were none too helpful. I've used Hallmark and 1800flowers without issue before.

Hi. I own a florist and I can tell you the BEST way to order flowers is to call the florist in the town you wish to deliver to directly yourself. There are many advantages to this, first you will be speaking directly with the people who will be arranging your flowers and you will find out what the have the best of instock etc.. Second you will get more for your $ than having to pay HUGE relay fees by using one of the 1-800 or online sites.
You can look online to find a florist in the town, if you are having trouble finding one PM me and I will look up a florist in the town for you and get you the phone #.
