Ds goes to a prviate school but in the high school area. This school goes from K-12, Their policy has always been no financial aid for any famly for the lst year. In the years to come you can apply, Their formula is based on your adjusted gross income for tax purposes etc.

I am on the school council of ds previous school. This school goes from K-8. We are a much smaller school than the other, and its always a struggle each year but God meets the needs of the school.

Well today I get a letter from ds now school, I hate to say its the other schools "competition", but I love both schools, well that school is giving financial aid to all NEW only familys with kids from K-6th grade, half price for the lst year only. I know the old school cannot compete financially with an offer like that. I feel like its David fighting Goliath.

Just wondering what your private school is doing to keep familys or attract new familys for the upcoming academic year. etc. Maybe I can share some of those ideas. TIA.

I feel your pain. Both my DD16 and DS went to a Catholic K-8 that was closed because we could not compete with some of the bigger, richer schools. They also consolidated some of the schools. We tried everything to keep the school open. Ultimately I would have rather spent the time with my children enjoying the last year. DD did get to graduate from the school but DS only made it to 6th. grade and is now at a new school. (I don't like it there, too big for me, but he seems to be okay)

I can give you tons of idea's if you really want them. Just let me know and I will pull out all the paperwork and PM you...

It's mostly getting to the graduates of the school and their families. Opening up your communication to show that "big" isn't always better and showing what being at your school really means to the children.

SO I guess I really want to just give you these  :flower3:   :flower3: and prayers. Diane

In the past several years tuition has gone up by about $400 per child per year. I noticed that it's going up only about $200 per kid for next year.

We receive financial aid. I don't know yet if there will be an increase or decrease in the amount we receive.
