I was shocked to see that Studio M at the marketplace closed a few years ago. I can't believe that WDW didn't print $$$ getting a private audience and professional photo with Mickey.

The family and I will be heading back in December 2007 and I would like to know if there are any places to have a Professional Photo taken with Mickey, or just the few stops were you use your own camera.

Thanks!

Well this may not be what you are looking for but there is Photopass. Are you familiar with that? They have photographers set up in different spots in all the parks. You get a card, give it to them whenever you want a photo and it goes on your card. You can then buy all or some of the pictures once your trip is done. You can access online up to like 60 days after your trip.

We got a family pic with Mickey taken in the Character Connection at Epcot.

Photopass is probably like what you want. We came across sorcerer Mickey at MGM in a theatre by himself. It was great. They took 19 picture on my photopass.

I think in Toontown in the Judge's Tent you get a private meeting with Mickey and I would guess there would be a photopass photographer there. As far as I know this is as professional as you can get.:confused3

I guess the photopass guys are considered "pros". Everytime they see me with my "gear" they always seem intimidated to take my pic. But their pictures come out decent. I usually end up with 1000+ photos from myself and purchase the photopass CD with anywhere from 75 and up. They always have their photogs in the right place.

We had a lot of fun going to all the characters at Camp Minnie Mickey in Animal Kingdom. We got a picture of my nieces with Mickey on Photopass and took a few of my own.

Here's one that Photopass shot:

And this is one I shot:

There is the Character Connection to the left of the breezeway heading towards the Land pavillion. There is Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale and another character (Belle was there twice). Each has their own area and you go one by one to the characters. Most of the characters had the PhotoPass photographer there, but will also take pictures with your camera too. If there is not a photographer at a specific character, then the CM standing there is more than happy to take the picture for you.

Disney Visa had a closed off space in Innoventions that was a private meet & greet. When I went, it was Mickey, Minnie & Goofy together.

We had a picture taken with Mickey at his house in Toontown, and Wizard Mickey in MGM next to Walt's Dream (can't remember the name of street). We used the Photoass card and the pictures came out really nice.

It's kind of hit or miss with the Photopass CMs. This past trip we had a lot of not so good pictures. Ours came out better. There were only one or two out of 111 that are worth buying. I wouldn't exactly call them professional but sometimes they do get some good shots.
