I read somewhere that you can arrange for a private photo session on board??

Has anyone done this? Does anyone have the details?

Thanks!

Susy

Don't know about private photo session, but if you do the Lifestyle portraits it is like having a private session. They take a ton of poses, everyone turns out great, making it very hard to choose the photos to keep.

Also, when we were on castaway cay..again, like having a private session..we got the photographer to take quite a few pics in a row, different spots on the beach. In the water, on the hammock, etc.

I do know if you book a category 1-3 room you can arrange for a private photo session in your stateroom. Not sure if that's available for the other categories.

I had to laugh when I read this.....I was thinking back to our Cat 11 room and trying to imagine a photographer in there taking pics....there was just 3 of us in tehre to begin with and we were tripping all over ourselves...can't imagine anyone trying to take pics in there!

You know, I guess that's why they're available in those huge staterooms after all...I never thought about that! And trust me, we know the feeling all too well all about tripping all over ourselves in our stateroom, too!! :)

Do they take the pictures in your room? Or someplace on the ship?

Trying to decide if it's worth it to do tuxes for formal night, and I was thinking if I thought I could get a "good" picture then I would get all the tuxes.

Has anybody done this?

Thanks,

Susy

What is Lifestyle Portraits? Never heard of that. ...

You don't have to get a private session to do this. They will have several photographers in the atrium taking pictures in different places...in front of the statue, on the stairs, at Christmas in front of the tree. They also have several backdrops available so you just get in line for the one you want.

friendly bump

(trying to decide whether or not to get tuxes)

thanks

Lifestyle portraits are on an all white background, casual and barefoot.
We had a blast doing them (just hubby and I), the photographer takes her time and takes lots of different poses.

On our first disney cruise..our formal night pictures come out excellent, I had them copied and sent 8 x 10's to all the family. This past cruise..they didn't come out so great..lol, hubby looked very uncomfortable in his tux this time around. Fortunately our lifestyle portraits turned out wonderfully, so we bought about 5 of those..lol. Still can't decide which we like best.

are the lifestyle photos and the private sessions different or the same thing? i am confused...help!! how do you go about booking either/both? :earboy2:

How did you get the photographer to stay with you and take so many different pictures on Castaway Cay?

I'd like to find out more about how to go about getting Lifestyle portraits as well :wave2:

When you see the photographer at CC just ask them to take some pictures of you. Tell them if you want a group shot with the ship in the backgroung or whatever. That's all you need to do. :)

I just returned from the Magic (boo hoo). Any way, the Lifestyle portraits are set up in the Atrium almost everyday, for most of the evening. Just look for the white backdrop!

On the Wonder it's set up the same way as well. We usually saw it right by the Shore Excursion desk, but I am sure that can vary depending on what else is happenning in the area. The photographer we had was absolutely great. Again, it's done barefoot on a completely white background and we were a little curious about that at first, but after seeing the other groups in front of us we were more assured. When it's your turn to get into the photo area the photographer gives you instructions on how to pose and the like. The one we had was very meticulous and made sure that our poses were the absolute best they could be. The nice thing about the setup as well is that the area had tons of fill lighting as well, so I think it made the portraits even nicer than we expected. We wound up buying pretty much all of them! As mentioned before the photos are usually done in the evenings around dinner and show times, and if you want to double-check you could always contact Guest Services. We have always found them very gracious and happy to answer even the most mundane questions. Hope this helps!

there were times listed in the navigator and by far the lifestyle ones came out the best.. we have a great family shot that I get rave reviews of when people see it.
