Has anyone booked one recently? Someone else planned one for my last cruise, and I would like to do the same for my upcoming cruise but am not sure how to begin or who to contact.

Here is the email sent to me when I requested information for a May 2017 cruise. I requested information many months before we cruised. I also had asked about a non-alcoholic tasting for our 18-20 age group.

"Thank you for your inquiry.

We can request the ship for a private mixology/tasting 30 days prior to sail date, below are the minimum/maximum Guests per class and cost per person (subject to change), each participant will be charged the fee to their onboard account whether they show-up or not. I will need names with stateroom numbers at least 2 weeks prior to sail date. We regret that we don't offer non-alcoholic tasting. You may request the times & dates preferred.

Tasting/Mixology: (Price Subject to Change)
Champagne: $35.00pp – min 20/max 30
Martini: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Beer: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Mixology: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Mojito: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Tequila / Margarita: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Cognac: $25.00pp – min 10/max 25 in Outlook Café - 10pm
Whiskey: $25.00pp - min 10/max 25 in Outlook Café - 10pm
Wine: $20.00pp - min 20/max 40
Chocolate & Liquor: $35.00pp - min 20/max 30

Please be advised that Guests who don't drink alcohol can still join the class to learn about these tasting and still pays per person.

I will file your request for now and get back with you in the later date to get an update on number of classes that you require."

This information about the private Mixology was my experience also. One of the nice things about these is that you're not required to collect money ahead of time. Disney just charges peoples onboard account when they come to the event. One other option that is available is to do an open bar for a period of time. That does require prepayment. But, some people like it better because they get to choose whatever drinks they like.

Who did you e-mail/get this e-mail from? Thank you!

It was from a representative of "DCL Function Requests" in reply to my asking about how to set up a Mixology for our group.
