Has anyone done the private fireworks for their weddings? Are escape brides allow to do that??

I am under the assumption that they only do them at the wedding pavillion. I would love to know if they can do them at any other locations.

Disney has so many sticky random rules that one would never expect. I personally don't see why an escape bride couldn't have fireworks.

You need lurkyloo!

Isn't the cost over $1000? If it is then you might as well just throw the dessert party. People get food out of it and it probably will end up costing the same.

Everyone on this board always seems to say the wishbook prices are off, but the wishbook currently says fireworks are 3000.

Personally I agree with PrincessShea that I would rather do a DP and see wishes and have some characters at the wedding. But if private fireworks are what you want I am sure the photos would be great!

Private fireworks are only available at the Wedding Pavilion. They cost $3,000 and last about 30 seconds. They shoot them off as you cross the bridge - it's basically just a quick photo op.

According to DISer Janet2K, who usually has nothing but glowing reviews for all things Disney wedding, they are mightily unimpressive. :rotfl:

Add my vote to the dessert party idea! :thumbsup2

I've seen them on wedding video and I'd agree with Janet2k - not truly that impressive during the day. At night it might be worth it!

I wouldn't do them. I agree with the Dessert Party. The private fireworks, to me, seem like a waste of money. I'd save the money for a character, but that's just me. The private fireworks are NOTHING like the ones in the parks. And if your wedding is during the daytime, and that's when the fireworks will be, chances are they won't show up well. It's your wedding though, do what you want. But for the price, to me, they seem an extra expense that doesn't need to be done.

I've seen pics of fireworks during the daytime and I personally didn't think it would be worth it. If it's something you have your heart set on, go for it, it's your day. :-)

If you really want the look in your photos, I'm sure your photographer could professionally edit some fireworks into your pictures. :3dglasses

But consider me one more vote for the Dessert Party.:thumbsup2

We are doing a dessert party/post reception party at Sago Key Point which you can se the MK fireworks from. Since my reception is right before that anything I chose to serve there will go towards my minimum expenditure so we don't have to do desserts per say. Were are going to do snacks or ice cream.

Does anyone know of a thread or a link that has pictures or video of the private fireworks? Right now we are including them, but now I'm having second thoughts, especially b/c our ceremony is at 5 and the sun sets around 5:30 in December so I'm thinking it won't be dark enough :confused3
