Well I'm still trying to think of somewhere to have the wedding breakfast... was interested in the character dinners at the contemporary or GF but my DH2B wasn't impressed by the menu... so what about private dining? How does that work? can we choose the menu? Or is it just a little room and we eat the usual stuff?

We're hoping to book an illuminations cruise and the wedding is at the poly so it would make sense to eat in that vicinity...

Please help!

kinda confused by your question but...

the grand floridian offers private dining in your gf room, balcony & other areas around the resort like the beach & summerhouse they offer this for a romantic 2 & even groups. there's some info about this at
http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gfp.htm

another option is calling the restaurant directly & asking for a set menu. i know the yc steakhouse offers this & they will try to seat you together or in private corner. some restaurants also offer private rooms where you can select a menu like the napa & sonoma rooms at the california grill*, narcossee's private room at the gf*, spoodles at the bwi or palio at the swan.
*have minimums

hope this helps, best of luck!

There are two private rooms at the California Grill, but I don't know if they do breakfast. If so, you would pick the menu, but there are certain food and beverage minimums.

I guess it depends on how many people for your breakfast. Is it just you two? If it is just a small group what about room service breakfast out on your patio or balcony. Or how about a breakfast for two on the GF beach or one of the small terraces at GF. That would be romantic.

If you have a number of people, you may be able to rent a room at GF or Contemporary. If you go to www.disneymeetings.com and click on a resort, then click on the menu, it lists some breakfast/brunch options.

We are doing our 10th anniversary Vow Renewal in December and are planning on a brunch for our guests at the Yacht Club pool. They have a really great menu, but will work with us to give us what we want.

Good Luck and Have fun! Lisa

Oops think I just mixed up some traditional english lingo here - A Wedding breakfast is the food you eat after the ceremony - as in your first meal as a married couple... mine will be at dinner time (5pm ish) so it's actually a wedding dinner...

confused me the first time I came across it too :0)
