Private Dining at the GF??

Has anyone tried to do this recently? I remember a few posts a while back about some guests dining at the Alcove with a view of Wishes and a butler at the GF. I was wondering if this is still offered as I am trying to do it for our September trip for my parents 25th wedding anniversary!

Any info is greatly appreciated!

I just emailed dining services about doing a private dining event. She emailed me back and attached a dining menu - it's similar to the room service menu. She basically said they could provide just about anything, that I should just let her know what we wanted. I asked about locations for private dining and she told me that they offer third floor terrace and fifth floor balcony. However, I think you can request different areas on the property. If you do a search for Janet2k, she has pictures and a trip report on her private dining experiences (her site is actually what made me look into it in the first place ).

The few spots that immediately pop into my head, do not have a Wishes view. In order to secure that, you'd probably have to do more of an event than a regular private dining. For example, event services can setup privacy screens and you could have dinner on the boat dock or over on the grass by Sago Cay. Both these outdoor locations would give you a view of Wishes. I'd start with private dining and see what they have for suggestions. They can always direct you to the event planners if you need something more specific.

I suppose event planning is something to look into, I didnt want to go too overboard but I want it to be very special

We did this in October and had a table on the water overlooking the lagoon and the castle. It was a lovely setting other than the mosquitos gnawing at my ankles all evening.

did you have the choice of the outdoor or indoor location?? How great of a view for the fireworks is it???

I'm planning this for our anniversary dinner in October. I was only given the choice of the 3rd floor terrace. That was fine with me. Just having our own private dinner seems so romantic to me! She was saying that as time gets closer, we could set our dining time so that it ended as the fireworks begin.
